For those who don't hate the concept of the Catalyst, and for those who welcome the Catalyst.

Shocked?

I can't explain it to well. He's just there and I have no problem with it. I like the scene, the conversation, the music. I don't have to agree with what it wanted in order to like how this part of the plot was shown.

I picked Destroy for crying out loud, but I still like that moment in time.

Note: I haven't scene the EC for My Story yet.

The Catalyst as a concept could work. But it's 1% about concept, and 99% about execution.

And the execution is one of the most BS things I've ever witnessed.

The only hint we get is in the description of this planet in ME1:

But the thing is that that wasn't the original plan of the ending of the trilogy (see Dark Energy ending).

I don't hate this Character. I liked the idea. The Catalyst, in my opinion, proves that there is more to Outer Space than just Stars, Planets, and Aliens.  Proof that there are things out there beyond our understanding, supernatural or not. That's part of what space is all about right? The "Unknown?" 

So....yeah. Pretty much my opinion. I'm not one of the players who STILL  hates sll of this.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Maybe people who "still" hate the Catalyst, hate him because their minds are made up, and have been made up since the beginning. The Catalyst is an awful character, and will always serve as an example of what not to do in the last 10 minutes of your story.

If you listen to the dialog, the Catalyst is mentioned throughout ME3. It's form and what it did was the mystery. I mean, what would it be like if we were completly right about the catalyst the whole time? No one would be all "Meh" about it?

Maybe some players do not like being corrected.I mean, if you knew that the Catalyst was as it is now, wouldn't you be all bored when it finally revealed itself.

What did you expect? For him to show up at the beginning? It didn't expect an organic to go so far at such a dark moment in time.

The "Refuse" ending makes it pretty clear that the Catalyst is just Harbinger or another Reaper that sounds like him who assumed the form and voice of the child to mess with Shepard.

Interesting concept, poorly executed.

Yeah but you're describing people hating the Catalyst like it's a bad thing. Of course some people are gonna have spite over it.

I'll admit I'm completely floored that anyone likes the star brat.

I've come to accept that people can...enjoy aspects of the endings.


But star brat is pretty much universally hated.

My biggest problem with the catalyst is that I think he shows up at the wrong time.   He lays too much stuff on you right at the end.
