The Catalyst both downplays the Reapers in a significant fashion, as well as play to cheap emotions withe the child. Never mind that he's the dumbest person you'll ever meet.

But good luck with the thread.

You have hope, more than you think. :)

I know this will shock people but i really like the Catalyst as a character,
it shows the other spectrum of an shackled A.I. , gave the reaper a deeper meaning...and made Mass Effect better as a whole.

No it didn't Posted Image

I mean for you it did. But in the grand scheme of things it ruined the franchise.

So you want to support the worse thing to happen to a cool, awesome story since midichlorians?
Please tell me I'm hallucinating.

I actually liked that a new discovery was done moments before Shepard's death, where Shepard meets a Godlike character.

Mass Effect has a fractured fanbase and 1 DLC coming out. There's also the canned movie deal and the novel rewrite that will probably never atually come out too.

Yeah, it's not on life support.

I'm not saying I'm trusting the damn Reapers. I'm not saying that I support the Catalyst's motives, because I want the Reapers to end. I'm saying the I support the concept, because it proves that there's more to the Galaxy to what we no. Things beyond our understanding. I may have chosen Destroy, but I still like the whole concept of the Catalyst, the scenery, etc.

Look, if this is going to be a problem for some of you, I don't care. Hell I don't care if this Thread becomes the most controversial Thread on BSN. I didn't make this Thread for people to shun mindlessly. I made this because I am saying that I do not hate the Catalyst. Though I don't support what he wanted, I like the fact that he was created, because he shows that there are some things in the Universe beyond our understanding, supernatural or not.

Did the existence of aliens, mass relays, and The Reapers themselves not already prove there's more to the galaxy? And the catalyst certainly is not beyond anyone's understanding, he's a rampant AI it's clear as day. I'm afraid you're just wrong, like completely.
