Omg can't I just make a Thread without people having a problem with it? I don't care if most of you have a Grudge against what BioWare create. This is NOT the thread for you. If I'm the only one who doesn't hate or dislike what happened in the Ending, then so be it. Shunning is highly unnecessary, and question the OP (Me) is unnecessary. Why should you care if at least one has a different outlook next to many others?

It just how and why can you trust the reapers when they have never helped us and have only been killing us lol?

I'm NOT saying I trust the Reapers! I am saying that I support BioWare Idea and concept of the Catalyst. I like the fact that it shows up at that time, revealing itself completely.

I don't like what the Catalyst tried to do, but that doesn't mean I have to "hate" it.

So you're fine with the Catalyst downplaying the Reapers to such a degree that they now resemble Toy Story rejects? Are you also fine with it being a terrible, hole-ridden plot device that invalidates both of the previous 2 games?

That is not my opinion Regarding the Reapers and the Plot. I don't think it downplays the Reapers, and I don't think it's a horrible plot. Problem? So YOUR questions are invalid to me. You trying to turn my own feelings against me is utterly futile!

This is a subjective observation, you are transferring your feeling onto someone else to creat an arguenment, for the sake of arguement.

Well if the catalyst has always resided in the citadel why didn't the catalyst open the relay for soverign to let the reapers in at the very least it does invalidate mass effect 1

Really only the first one is subjective. The 2nd is an objective hole in logic that was never addressed and thus a legitimate issue (also the larger issue, imo).

@ Ventus To you maybe. I appreciate the Concept simply because I DO. I don't have to share the same opinion as many others. And I don't need a completely detailed reason why I say these things.

blame the original creators for their mistakes in/on social science, not the OP. That's not their posit.

This is simply not case...sorry if you feel that way...but these are not facts. They are opinions.

Some people like Uwe Boll, Twilight, Nicki Minaj, Jersey Shore, Ghost Hunters, Chris Brown, and Clamshell packaging. Is it really hard to imagine that a few would like The Catalyst? Everyone has different tastes, there's no point arguing with them.

When people dislike something, they can be reasonably expected to outline why (Hell, I do it every single time I make a post that includes the words "I disagree"). Why do people who like things feel that they don't have to do this?

well I'm not into trusting the reaper king or reaper controller just not my tastes but oh well moving on

Not everyone is gonna support the catalyst and not everyone is gonna support one particular ending that is why we are all different

I don't think it downplays the Reapers, and I, myself, as the player and the fan (for the sake of myself), do NOT see any plotholes. You may see all that, but I don't. Does/Should it make me unintelligent? No! Why should it. A different outlook and opinion doesn't make someone less intelligent than someone with a more negative outlook and opinion. And vice versa.

*Snaps fingers*

It all makes sense now!

If the Catalyst is Tommy Wiseau, then the motivations behind the cyclical harvests are obvious! It isn't because synthetics are dicks, it's because Lisa tore him apart!

No, the simplicity of your OP directs that it is not that complex. Many wish to include metagaming into a non existing arguement to compel controversy. That eventually will lead to cross talk and diffusion. They do it all the time here, its an accepted form of arguement, confuse the issues, create chaos. And lose the original point.

Hatred of the catalyst is "OK" cause they don't understand it, or it's just a bad thing and needs removed, or don't know so blast it..lol

some people are tired of arguing and just want to show support. The OP is does not have to justify his opinion to you. You are free to disagree...just don´t be an *** about it.

Plot holes aren't subjective. It's either a plot hole or it isn't. If you don't see it, then it isn't my problem. In context, the Catalyst's entire existence is a plot hole (How major a plot hole would be the opinionated part) because if the all-powerful Reaper overlord has been around all this time, why bother having Sovereign risk time and resources (and exposure) opening the Citadel, when he could have done it himself? Why have the Collectors start kidnapping people and drawing attention to themselves when he could have just called in the Reapers unannounced and went on his merry way?

Those aren't opinions, those are holes in logic.

It's not fair. I can see this Thread getting lock, and no matter what, it'll be done unfairly, because there re going to be lots of idiots who are going to troll, causing a Mod to go insane with anger.

we don't know for sure anything about the catalyst, it's not a hole, just because we don't know. Those are opionions posed as fact. Another tactic utilized on BSN. Shall I head canon like that to explain your errors in, say, logic?

Easy.
He has no power...only by proxy (reapers/keepers/collectors).
He can not do it by himself.

So there is no plothole other then the ones you yourself did create.

Holes of Logic? What are you trying to say? That I am blind to see the "Truth" of it all? It IS my opinion. I don't think the Reapers are down played. And If there were any plotholes, I don;t care, because they don't ruin the Game(s) for me like it does for some of you.
