Damnit who cares if the Geth dies ? The Quarians will just rebuild them anyway ... and to prevent any future war , the races of the galaxy would call them collateral damage at the spur of the moment .

Single player is Shepard's story and should have no connection to multiplayer at all.

Someone might have said this already but all the extra EMS is ground forces. They couldn't have any effect on whether the Crucible works or not. Besides Thousands of Elite soldiers with Small firearms against a Reaper, the Reaper would still win.

OP before you go on, you need to understand that a weapon like that needs to attack an attribute of the target that would lead to it's destruction....Think how chemical weapon use the fact that we breath and are weak to poison to kill us. For a weapon to target just the reapers it has to hit the weak points of the reapers or an attribute. The only attribute they have that is unique to them is the reapers code....And both the geth and Edi have that. So even making a weapon to focus on the reapers attributes kill off all current synthetics.

Reapers other attribute - they're synthetic-organic hybrids. If Crucible can destroy only synthetic life forms why it can't destroy only organic-synthetic hybrids?

That is the sad thing, you go through all these hard work doing everything and your choices feel so limited. I don't know maybe they will include some sort of option since now you can get the shepard lives cutscenes with less EMS maybe now they will make a new one where EDI and Geth live with the higher EMS? It's really simple, Bioware can implement it, they just need to copy a photo slide of the geth surviving from the other endings, and eliminate EDI's name from the board, as simple as that and I am happy.

No time to read whole thread, but seems like lots of people have a problem with the MP thing. Thing is, they could always make more war assets available in SP DLC to allow for a better end.

I disaprove any idea of bringing a perfectly good ending in the game.

I despise Star Wars soap opera ending where everyone is happy with the Ewoks.

Having a dark and bittersweet ending is good. Actually, just because it seems to annoy that many players, it is even more good to have such an ending.

I have a better idea. Instead of MP, they could release ME tetris. And if you play 20,000 games of ME tetris, then you unlock the good endings. This way, people who like to grind tetris can get the best possible ME ending. So brilliant.

You could conceivably have 1,000,000 EMS and the reapers would still win conventional victory because of derp... da reepers ar da powerz an we needz da kroosibull too winz.

Bottom line is that they decided that after 5 years we didn't deserve a decent ending.

Because that would actually be a decent ending, that's apparently a terrible idea

My EMS is around the same, last time I checked it was 10,580.

Goddamn you Bioware.

How did you get 11,000 EMS?

Flawless play through netting all possible assets, 100% galactic readiness, and a whole bunch of MP promotions.

~3,500 of your EMS comes from MP...

That's equivalent to 6-7 Turian fleets.

Can you see why MP shouldn't affect SP? It makes no goddamn sense.

To be honest I don't mind it requiring MP. So long as I know in one ending that everyone comes to Tali's warming party that's enough for me.

With that high of an EMS Shepard should instantly turn into James T. Kirk and convince the Reapers to all commit suicide. Problem solved.

Nah. Picard had the chance to wipe out the entire Borg Collective and didn't take it on matters of principle. This after going through the horrifying process of assimiliation.

Kirk on the other hand has a history of talking robots into killing themselves.

I agree. We should have had the option to have a "perfect" Destroy ending (in which EDI and the geth survive) if our EMS score was through the roof. I acknowledge Bioware's "artistic integrity" argument, but a game is also about recognising player skill and effort. If a player has really done everything right, across all three games in the series, it SHOULD have been possible to snatch victory out of impossible odds.

Here's a better idea.

Why don't all devs create games which have no ending.

When players get near the end, A questionaire pops up asking exactly how you want the game to end. The dev then goes away for 6 months writing the most popular ending.

I have a feeling that this might seriously suck after a while. But hey, we really would deserve that.
