Hi all,

Is it possible to run NWN2 on Snow Leopard? I have read conflicting responses about this. I can open the game on Snow Leopard and everything up to the start of the actual story works fine. However, from the opening cutscene onward, I see pink lines across the screen. Is this fixable? Everything else in the game so far seems to work fine.

Sincerely,

Synystra

Both the retail and App Store versions ran fine on Snow Leopard for me anyway. That was on a Mac mini and running NWN2 1.23 (fully patched). Sounds like you have a video card problem of some kind. Are you fully patched and have you tried adjusting the game video settings?

Regards

I have a MacBook Pro, and apparently the graphics is "Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB".

I do not have all the patches. Where do I find them? :?

EDIT: I found and installed a 1.23 patch. This is the newest patch I could find. Then I turned the graphics settings to the lowest settings possible. The pink lines still appear.

1.23 is the last patch. Kaldor is the resident Mac expert though, I know little about the current macs (my mac is a 1ghz "flower pot" model iMac).

I may be the resident Mac expert but I don't have a MacBook Air (wish I did). If you cannot get rid of the problem you can consider purchasing the Windows version of NWN2 and installing it in a Wineskin (doesn't require Windows) or setting up a Bootcamp partition and running it on Windows (I use XP). The Windows video drivers may be more compatible than the Mac drivers.
