And whoever said ammo isn't a concern, they're full of it.
Pylon recharge isn't that fast to have infinite ammo with Harrier I

Anyway, i dont go for the no fitness build...
to be honest.. i dont understand how people can play the demolisher camping near wherever you place your pylon...
I load up a wraith, stick 4 points to fitness and cut some points to the Homing grenade. (with a good team they hardly hit their targets...) So i run around shooting arc grenades to dish mayhem on enemies and stagger them while i head shot everything with the wraith.

Burst damage? The Talon is a semi auto, are you thinking of the Eagle? That gun is automatic
No. When I say "burst damage" I'm referring to weapons that deal high amounts of damage to a single target quickly.
Honestly, if you're using a Harrier you have little reason to switch to a Talon unless you run out of ammo... which doesn't happen as a Demolisher. The Harrier will kill things faster than the Talon in most cases, and most enemies you would be aiming at with the Harrier would be long dead in the time it takes to switch for your Talon if you just shot them with the Harrier instead.
The Harrier and the Talon essentially serve the same purpose. The Scorpion inflicts AoE damage and can stunlock enemies. It does something that neither the Harrier, or the Talon can do: The situational benefits actually make it worth switching weapons.
Killing a group of Phantoms, or Geth Hunters for example, is much easier to do with a Scorpion than it is with a Harrier as you can singlehandedly lock them down with near infinite stunlock.
A Demolisher with a Scorpion + Harrier is more versatile than a Demolisher with a Harrier + Talon. While you have 2 weapons that kill single targets quickly, I have 1 weapon that kills single targets quickly, and one weapon that eliminates, and controls large groups. I could inflict the same single target damage that you can, but I could also go nuke a Phantom spawn.

Since cooldown is hardly an issue, I'd say Piranha + Mattock.

If you're running out of ammo, you're doing it wrong. I regularly play Demolisher / Harrier (IV), and it is rare to ever run the ammo down to zero.
Keep slamming the pylon down when you can, as it is an instant load for grenades / ammo. I'm really just doing it to keep getting grenades, the ammo is rarely below full. If you're equipping two weapons that may be an issue, due to the extended cooldown. Given the Harrier is almost always on full ammo, I don't see the need to carry a secondary weapon - it would just slow my CD, possibly leaving my Harrier empty (and slower grenade feed), and causing me to need to keep switching weapons.

the Phaeston works nice...as does a leveled up Sabre ( mine is at IV...) and Falcon; weight is no issue since you have no powers besides pylon spamming.
I use Indra and Pirhana, as well

I go 6/6/6/5/3
I camp the Pylon but do go out and attack the enemy. Use the arcs to stagger and usually finish them off with the Mattock/ Piranha or Vindicator/Claymore or just switch to homing grenades for the finish... The reason why people camp is unlimited grenades, hard to pass that up.
Thank you for the imput, and thanks again everybody  Pray for a harrier seems to be the consensus...

This here, the saber is usually my first choice for it's head popping power, but in small areas it's not so great, and the rapid fire and stopping power of the harrier wins out. On maps where I can snipe freely (like london) the saber wins out.

Edit : Nevermind, actually misread and understood Destroyer.
So no AR on mine, I use Piranha for DPS and scorpion + ULM for crowd control. This leaves me with a decent enough cooldown to recast pylon right after it drops its second set of grenades.
I don't really find any of the ARs to be attractive on this class, the Piranha does the DPS job pretty fine and I often find myself at really close range, so...
