No. ME3 was the final nail that made me very appathetic to the setting, but I would say it took parts of ME2 and parts of ME3 to severely devalue the worth of the setting in my eyes. I can still play the games and have enough fun with them, but only in the same way I like Miachel Bay movies or like Watching Avatar: Mindless fun movies.

Let's say that ME3 was that last step of the staircase you forgot, there was a moment of shock, a moment of realisation and then the pain in your broken ankle is still throbbing long afterwards.
It was always going down from the beginning, but that last bit of ME3 ended badly - it left scars and ill-memories, and is not worth doing over.

Pre-ending? No. It wasn't what it could of been, certainly a disappointment to an extent, but it wasn't franchise ruining by any means. It was very enjoyable at the time, most of the disappointment came from retrospect.
Dat ending though.. whew. The EC made it just barely tolerable enough to make me feel like replaying the series (for the billionth time) wouldn't be completely pointless. But thats not saying much. Its still become an eternal "man, think of what could of been..." memory I will carry for the rest of my life.

yes and no. it has diminished it as a series but as for me 1 and 2 i have simply have to convince to myself that the first two are mostly stand alone games .
i still have not played a second play though of ME3 . I made my opinions clear in my review of the game and EC.
There were a lot of things I mention that i felt they could have done better the money spent of mp and all susequent dlc could have been put into the game and improving the romances
Really when you think about it none of the choices mean anything because it all boils down to the same standard endings all of which are anti-climatic and totally unsatisfying in my opinion and am totally uninspired to do another complete play though.

Yeah. Can't take the Reapers as a threat in ME1 anymore since I know they are being controlled by some kid with circle logic.
Also, can't really play another playthough. I've tried but just can't force myself to it. Gonna pretend ME3 didn't really happen.

Slightly, yes. But not completely. The small, minor things that I was kind of hoping to see in the third game were skipped over but that didn't make the game unplayable.

Yes. The one thing I always loved in ME were the characters. The ME3 ones... are just not ME2 level.

I love ME1 and enjoyed ME2 and most of ME3 but the conclusion to our trilogy took a giant Elcor sized dump on my desire to play anything ME ever again. A great experience and universe ruined by the ham-fisted, self-indulgent writing of two hacks. Take a bow gents, take a bow.

I loved Mass Effect 1 & 2, I replayed both multiple times. Hell, I liked a lot of Mass Effect 3, the ending just ruined it for me(Yeah, I'm whining about it). I haven't even picked up ME3 again after the ending.

Another vote for yes. The endings specifically (though the rest of the game did indeed have issues they weren't series destroying issues)
The ME3 endings turned the entire series into a funeral march.

Yes. ME3 was supposed to be the climax of all our decisions, and really we only had two missions that did this.

No. It was my favorite of the three.

The ending of ME3 ruined the game trilogy for me. Honestly it even killed the enjoyment i got out of replaying the first two games, but I'm still interested in the franchise.

I like ME3. I'm not finished playing it by a long shot. I just did a complete trilogy run not too long ago, and it was great fun. I mean, I know most choices don't make a difference in the end, but it's still fun to roleplay and make those choices. Now if only they'd remake ME1 with ME3 version of the engine.

ME2 started the road to ruin of the series for me and ME3 completed the journey. If I ignore the endings and other things that bug me in ME3, I still prefer it to ME2. For me ME1 is still the best of the series.

Didn't bother me, expected less from ME3 after seeing what impact I had in ME2, was glad all me2 squadmates didn't just send me an email about how they were and I got to see them in the game.
Haha exactly. I realised that when I saw the human council behaving exactly as the old one.
@OP, nope it didn't spoil it. I've done multiple trilogy runs since I finished ME3. Though I have complaints with each game, overall its been a great journey, loved all the three games. I don't regret spending time and money on any of them.
