No I really enjoyed ME3, and even it has flaws I believe that the overall experience of the game improves ME2's........
In any case no matter how bad ME2 or ME3 could be (they aren't bad at all IMO) they never would ruin a great game ME1 was and still is (I really dislike DA2 but it doesn't ruin DA:O)
Did ME3 ruin the trilogy for you?

Without the endings, I would have been able to look past most of ME3's shortcomings, focusing on the strong points instead - such as the Tuchanka arc. If the game had culminated in a fitting and epic conclusion, the good would have outweighed the bad. But as it was, all the bumbling and botching was magnified by a thousandfold.

Meh. It's done more harm than good, that's for sure.

It made it better. Actually it forced me to read the novels again and start playing the whole trilogy once again

It just made me partly question the competence of their creative and writing staff.
Taking insperation from something is one thing, stealing it and then beeing proud of it makes them look like incompetent and petty liars. Knowing that sickens me when I play any ME-title. So I refrain from doing so.

The situation for me has changed a bit since the Extended Cut came out. I don't like what Bioware has done, but at least they've made the conclusion more palatable and less, you know, wholly self defeating. Whereas in the beginning I would have said ME3 definitively ruined the franchise for me, I now consider it to merely be a bad game with a poorly exceuted story (again, excepting certain parts). I doubt we'll ever get anything as good as ME1 again, but I don't feel like I have to completely abandon the franchise without at least seeing what they're going to do next. I certainly wont ever pre-order anything ME related ever again however.

I still enjoy the first two games as much as before and do like the third to various degrees up until the ending. I like multiplayer and even reconnected with an old friend that moved away over it, so I have to at least give it credit for that as well.

Originally with Dark Age, everyone is stuck with no mass relays ending and you don't know WTF is going on? Yes
With Extended Cut, Nope.

ME3 before the ending didn't ruin anything for me.
ME3's original endings ruined it for me.
ME3's Extended Cut restored it all.
End result: I like it, some glaring flaws notwithstanding.

EC is bad and have not helped in a slightest. ME3 is a tragic mistake. Pretend it have not happened.

yep, can only play as far as rannoch, afterwards i lose every urge to play any further...
and its not really fun to play it anymore. i have to think about how the story gets thrown away in the last 5 minutes to make place for some wanna-be-ethical-issue-thingy
its like an unfinished book/movie for me...

Nope. Believe it or not, it is my favourite game of the trilogy. I didn't like the original endings but there was no way that 15 minutes would ruin a whole game for me, let alone the trilogy. And then the Extended Cut fixed enough to make me like the endings. I am happy with the final product.

ME3 itself was pretty ok, lame moments and great moments. However after original endings i lost any interest in the series. EC fixed it somewhat but when i replay the series i still think i will just stop before "retaking" Earth.

Theres a lot of missed potential, but its not enough to ruin the trilogy, plus there is always DLC for ME3.

Tuchanka and Rannoch story arcs are enough for ME3 to be a great game for me. Now doing my second playthrough and I see more where they have improved from ME2. Of course there was potential for alot more, but you can't make everything in such a rich Universe, too much time and money needed, which would probably require ME1 and ME2 to sell just as good as COD.

No. Despite the endings not being what I expected it is a great game. Replayed ME2 multiple times since ME3 came out and have finished ME3 three times and I'm still playing (I have three more characters/story archs running right now). Hope Leviathan will be great and will shed some light on the Reapers creation and the little starbrat controlling them...
Also I would like to know how the hell I got lifted up to the crucible control room, why up there there is no control panel (you know: why do i have to shoot the tube?) and why the options become available in the wrong direction (destroy first, synthesis last), but other than that I'm mostly fine by now with ME3 after the initial shock.

I just want to put this out there as I'm reading all posts of this Poll.
The original ending was no doubt a trainwreck that no one liked.
All the people that agree with the EC ending and liked it, is the group that Bioware salvaged with the EC.
The rest still hate the ending regardless of the EC.
Two different groups, that's what they did to ME fans, they ran off with one to still get something out of it because they know what they did.

Nope. Sure, it has its share of flaws and missed potential, but I still had most fun playing it when compared to other two parts of the trilogy.

No it did not. It gave me a conclusion to one of my favorite trilogies.
