By pretending that the last 10 minutes of ME3 doesn't exist, I can say the trilogy was near epic.

Not really. I have endured a lot worse things than ME3's pretentious endings.

Sure, there are many things that could have been better, but I won't be some melodramatic and whiny diva about it.

Pre-EC I didn't have much desire to replay a story where the galactic community is destroyed with the relays gone and all the characters are left stranded with a gigantic question mark as to their fates. Post-EC the ending is still relatively unsatisfying, but you undoubtedly save more than you do not, which means the effort was worth it.

Yep, can't play any of them without thinking about the disappointing endings and shutting it off 5 minutes later. Don't enjoy playing them anymore and therefore ruined. I had about 8 playthroughs of 1 and 2, i have 2 of ME3 and the 2nd is when i still believed in IT. Do like the MP though.

I agree with the first part of this but typically my expectations haven't been this high. It felt like you have no control of Shepard in the last mission.

ME3 didn't ruin the trilogy for me. ME3 ruined ME3. I can still play the previous two games without worrying about the stuff I have to put up with in ME3 because the previous two games are amazing and fun to play.

It didn't spoil my memories of the previous games, no. They were good times. But the ME3 ending has rendered the trilogy pointless and unplayable for me now, in just the same way as a bad ending to a trilogy of books would remove any inclination on my part to re-read them.

There are more enjoyable things to spend my time on...

I think ME3 did not fully live up to its potential, but it's still a lot of fun to play. Also, with the ME universe, I care more about the characters than the reaper plot. Although the conclusion of the reaper threat did not live up to expectations, I thought ME3 did a fantastic job with its characters, especially Garrus, EDI, Wrex, and Kaidan (who was significantly improved from his semi-annoying ME1 persona). ME3 might not have lived up to the expectations built up from ME1/ME2, but I still enjoy it, and am working on my third playthrough.

At first i thought it did and it took a while for me to distance myself enough to be honest. It didn't ruin the memories that i still have about ME1 and ME2. ME3 killed itself and spoiled the rest of the games quite a bit. But i'm done with being annoyed by it and got other things to spend time on. Life goes on after all

Yes.

ME3 made me realize how shallow Mass Effect always was to begin with. I realize now that my love for Mass Effect was always my love for my personal headcanon. I never realized this before. I never really loved my Shepard, I loved my headcanon for my Shepard. What really is presented in the game is sorely lacking and completely shallow at some points.

To be fair, I feel that way about a lot of RPGs.  I love my characters in Morrowind, Fallout 3, and Oblivion, but it's mostly headcannon.  Those characters are extrememely shallow.  And mute.

This is pretty much the way I think about it and I moved on to other games.

Lately I've been feeling nostalgic for ME2, which I haven't played since last December. I keep thinking about it, but don't start because I know the entirety of the third game will be looming back in my mind. I'll get to spend some time with Thane and Legion and Jack and everyone else, but in the end it'll be next to pointless. I'm guessing I'd probably have similar feelings about ME1.

So, yes, my enjoyment of the games is severely effected.

Not at all. I still find great joy in replaying each entry in the series.

No way! ME3 is cool! No matter how much I dislike auto-dialogue, I believe it's a great game. The entire game series is awesome, I love it! :)

All three games are in my locked chest collecting dust, I have no desire to play them anymore, there's nothing left of value...

I have to say that I have not played any of the Mass Effect SP games since the EC, which just confirmed that yes it is that bad. I used to play them once in a while before ME3 came out, so I guess the answer will have to be yes. Still enjoying the multiplayer though.
