Taking away Geth Prime's Headshot, a feature for that boss to be sniped. Why?
And I'm actually fine with Ammo 4, because I use them, all the time, but when I have enough I really wish they would stop giving me more overboard as well. The character cards needed to go away, but if I promote and reup a character, shouldn't those still be avalible if I'm not all level 20s?
Gold is pretty much as tough as Platinum in some ways, not enough to make a difference for me to even play Gold anymore for the credits difference. And cheap, so cheap, I do miss the old school's Gold. It was sooo much better.

I think BioWare is simply getting away with the fact that most gamers are masochists. They don't mind a fly in their soup as long as the soup is good. But there are a lot of flies in the ME3 MP. Maybe if they concentrated on making the game better instead of going after cheaters, but I guess one problem is costing them money so.....

Have people become geared toward illiteracy with all this 'wall of text' referencing'? Has the iphone and texting made it so people don't want to be bothered with anything more than 200 words? Or is that just a derogatory slang term which really means 'ultimately I'm to lazy to bother to read and comprehend and/or I prefer to not read and comprehend things beyond one paragraph.'
At this rate, all the third world nations will look like geniuses compared to us.

Trust me, I am counting the days to when the minority of idiots who like Borderlands leave this forum and the game. Even if it takes me longer to find an online game, I will know that I have 100% better chance of not having to carry someone through a game.
Other than the bugs the OP listed, everything he speaks of is generally a lack of knowledge about how to play the game.

I support this post's originator wholeheartedly, before Gold was fun and fair, until they decide to drop 7+ phantoms in Wave 10. And buffed the Cerberus as an enemy group in addition to nerfing some weapons.

Other than the bugs the OP listed, everything he speaks of is generally a lack of knowledge about how to play the game.
The bugs, problems with the store system, and so on were the crux of the argument. To writ:
* His first complaint was about the store system. The store system is broken, everyone with common sense hates it, even though it hasn't stopped me from getting a mighty manifest or OneTrueShot from getting everything. He can't get a Harrier. I feel for him on this, because the game seems to love dicking people over on what they actually want. Again, CeilingKid's wanted a Geth Engineer since Resurgence was announced, and hasn't gotten one despite a ton of gameplay invested. He's far from the only one to suffer this way, and though you may not see it as a problem (and many others don't), it's no less valid.
* His second complaint was about the tedious nature of this game. With the problems I mentioned back in this post, wherein I addressed how the Nerfs were not the biggest kick in the crotch the community recieved - as those were, in fact, mechanical changes, one can see that the game's metagame has shifted to the point where farming is the only reliable way to get cash. Oh, certainly, you see things like me and OneTrueShot going with Collector Rifle or Eagle runs, or the KRO TEAM all running Particle Rifles, but this is just us dicking around and isn't really going to earn us any credits or experience. You want stuff, you have to farm, and you need to farm efficiently. No exceptions.
* His third complaint was about Phantoms and bubble shield. This ability has been complained about ad-infinitum. As a man who's worked on making games in the past, the bubble shield is one of the worst abilities in the entire game for screwing players, since it means their abilities may simply not work. For some classes, this is no big deal. For casters, this is a punch in the scrote, and the fact that they can ignore a shower of grenades is hilariously stupid. That they can do this and then Magnet Hands you is even worse. He has a valid complaint, even if you don't mind the shield, because of how the ability is handled (also mentioned in my post).
* He complains about bottomless Phantoms on objective waves. This
is legit.4 of those synckilling immune/everything assninjas is just
ridiculous, since they can invalidate all powers and one-shot everyone
permanently, and one-shot most players from across the map. Hope you brought rockets.
* He then complains about Turrets. Cerby Turrets aren't that bad, though their perfect accuracy across the map is utter bull and reeks of bad game design. The real offenders here, however, are Geth Turrets, which can be placed in physically impossible locations, wipe whole teams, and have disturbingly fast shield regen if you so much as look away from one. Both turret complaints are valid - there's no telegraphy for either turret type until one starts firing or, more commonly, sodomizes one of your teammates.
* He then complains about Geth bugs. Stunlock, Stagger immunity, shooting whilst knocked flying/prone/dying. Bug, everyone knows it, and utter bull. Legit issue.
* He then complains about res mechnics. From "lol, revived, weapon still empty" problems to synckilled-out-of-revive, the game's revive issues are legion and everyone knows of them. It's a legit complaint that even the best players **** about.
* He complains about enemies dodging every single projectile power. They do. It sucks, and everyone who has warp, throw, etc hates it. They do it way too much, and it's probably a bug. He then mentions psychic grenades. Let's just say that if my Kroldier could throw Inferno Grenades with the accuracy Cerberus troops display, I'd be capable of reliably showering entire squads in Napalm. Squad-wiping perfect-accuracy grenades are a major problem for squads on Silver, Gold, and Platinum, and were, in fact, the reason everyone started farming Geth - so it's a legit issue.
* He complains about enemy perfect accuracy from 100 yards, which everyone hates (lol Phantom Sniping). He complains about enemies ignoring cloak, which everyone also hates. He complains about the tactical cloak duration change which screws players who intitially chose Duration by giving them 30% less cloak than they had before for literally no benefit, and screws damage infiltrators by making their damage spike the only purpose of the power whatsoever. Tactical Cloak was not handled well, and there was many better ways they could have dealt with it that didn't result in the ability's utter lopsidedness at the moment. He has a legit point, and that's coming from a man who religiously topped scoreboards with a Geth Plas Shotgun Infiltrator.
* He then complains about bugs. Nothing need be said.
* He finishes up with a lamentation that his usual squad members have left the game in disgust because of the tedium of the current metagame, complete inability to fix bugs, and complete incapacity to do anything about the various problems he's brought up. Not one issue he's mentioned has not been discussed on this forum dozens of times, and no amount of "he should learn to play!" negates one iota of his complaints.

Also, the lack of another enemy faction & new game modes is a bit frustrating. All that is keeping me playing is an odd desire I have to complete my manifest, although I am a long way off due to my late foray into the multiplayer. Even with this my interest is waning. If I had started playing earlier & had that completed already, I would have stopped playing probably.

If I and many others do not see it as a problem, than that means a minority of players do. Should we cater to the minority?
* His second complaint was about the tedious nature of this game. With the problems I mentioned back in this post, wherein I addressed how the Nerfs were not the biggest kick in the crotch the community recieved - as those were, in fact, mechanical changes, one can see that the game's metagame has shifted to the point where farming is the only reliable way to get cash. Conjecture. U/U/G is incredibly easy to complete and pays over 70k. Even if you cannot do Gold, Silver is incredibly easy. What you are complaining about is the need to farm to UNLOCK items, again, this is not due to the game but due to someone wanting items.
* His third complaint was about Phantoms and bubble shield. This ability has been complained about ad-infinitum. As a man who's worked on making games in the past, the bubble shield is one of the worst abilities in the entire game for screwing players, since it means their abilities may simply not work. That they can do this and then Magnet Hands you is even worse. He has a valid complaint, even if you don't mind the shield, because of how the ability is handled (also mentioned in my post).
The shield actually FREEZES the Phantom in place for a bit, negating their biggest ability, the crazy flip dodges. If you bother to learn this, you can freeze a Phantom and gun it down with no problem. Certain abilities still go through this sheild as well. Magnet hands is a known and admitted bug by BW and they plan on fixing it. It therefore falls under the bugs category which the OP is right about.
* He complains about bottomless Phantoms on objective waves. This
is legit.4 of those synckilling immune/everything assninjas is just
ridiculous, since they can invalidate all powers and one-shot everyone
permanently, and one-shot most players from across the map. Hope you brought rockets.
Sigh, see the earlier response. Phantoms are actually EASIER to kill now, if you know how to adapt to changes.
Cerby turrets are annoying, but OP, no. Geth Turrets are a freaking joke and if you have a whole team wipe to a Geth Turret, you are playing with BAD players. There is no excuse for an entire team to die to a Geth Turret.
* He then complains about Geth bugs. Stunlock, Stagger immunity, shooting whilst knocked flying/prone/dying. Bug, everyone knows it, and utter bull. Legit issue.
I agree with some of these things because they are bugs. Stunlock is annoying but it can be avoided. Geth are one of the easiest factions.
* He then complains about res mechnics. From "lol, revived, weapon still empty" problems to synckilled-out-of-revive, the game's revive issues are legion and everyone knows of them. It's a legit complaint that even the best players **** about.
If you fired your weapons empty and died, they shouldn't magically reload on revive. I have never seen my ammo mystically disappear when I die and get revived. Synckill out of revive is an annoyance, but still avoidable if you know to kill things near the body before the revive. Additionally, don't revive a friend near approaching Banshees and Phantoms until you deal with them or move them away from the body. This is an issue of skill, not a bug.
Uh, no it isn't an issue. One of the premier farm maps was Glacier/Gold/Cerb. FBW/Gold/Cerb is incredibly easy as well. You can throw grenades just as well, if you practice, and I guarantee they will have a harder time getting away from your grenades than you from theirs. Dodge is fine, but a bug was introduced with the BE nerf that does hurt projectile users, this needs to be fixed.
He has a legit point, and that's coming from a man who religiously topped scoreboards with a Geth Plas Shotgun Infiltrator.
Enemies in all shooters have high accuracy, get used to it. Enemies only ignore cloak if you get too close and they can 'hear' you, or if you cloak in their visual range. If you are the last person standing, they tend to ignore it also, which is fine. You still get the full benefit of cloak damage. The TC changes were needed and did not cripple the class. I could care less how he topped the scores with the most overpowered character in the game, which is still overpowered after nerfs to TC and HM.
* He then complains about bugs. Nothing need be said.
Agreed
* He finishes up with a lamentation that his usual squad members have left the game in disgust because of the tedium of the current metagame, complete inability to fix bugs, and complete incapacity to do anything about the various problems he's brought up. Not one issue he's mentioned has not been discussed on this forum dozens of times, and no amount of "he should learn to play!" negates one iota of his complaints.
I am sorry he lost squad members. People get tired of games and move on. This would not change if this was the most perfect MP game of all time. BW has been behind the curve on bug fixes, but they have done more to increase player power than to take it away. This is hard fact and has been proven by Godless Paladin. As far as the rest of his comments, I have shown how he needs to adapt his tactics to overcome changes. I've also shown how certain enemy changes make enemies easier. He would prefer to ignore this and blindly rant that BW is going to lose another customer and will lose tons of players to BL2. This was said for D3 as well, and if anyone thinks BL2 is more anticipated than D3, they are sadly misleading themselves.

Please point out where I didn't give examples and just said Nuh Uh. It is not an issue of being awesome, it us an issue of knowing how the game works. You do not have to be skilled or intelligent to do this, merely pay attention to the patterns in the game.
I guarantee that if you take the time to learn these patterns, you will be able to play Gold easily. Try it in your next game. Throw a grenade at a Phantom and watch them sit still to be shredded with weapon fire.
As far as the store, the post said that there was a majority that had no problem with the store. I am simply pointing out the poster's own thoughts on the subject and asking him if we should then cater to the minority.

So the fact that it's literally the most complained-about facet of the game bears absolutely no weight? Really? C'mon man, you're better than that.
Conjecture. U/U/G is incredibly easy to complete and pays over 70k. Even if you cannot do Gold, Silver is incredibly easy. What you are complaining about is the need to farm to UNLOCK items, again, this is not due to the game but due to someone wanting items.
Looking at the OP's manifest, one can't argue that he's not clocked a lot of time and patience into the game, time that cannot, in any sense of the word, be chalked up to him sucking at this game. Also, considering how crap power/weapon balance is in this game, unlocking things is pretty damned important, since the DPS on a Level I Harrier is better than the overpowering majority of Level X rifles.
Actually, they've been seen moving with the ability still, though they do it markedly less often since the visibility improvement they got. They still charge you with shields up, just less often. Also, the only thing "Freezing" a Phantom is Stasis or a particularly well-timed Submission Net. We agree on bugs.
Sigh, see the earlier response. Phantoms are actually EASIER to kill now, if you know how to adapt to changes.
They would be, except they still appear in flocks, still OHK you with no revival chance from 20 feet away, and still hand-snipe you to death. Also they have gravity boots so you can't launch them and can synckill you even if you break their sword, because that makes sense.
Cerby turrets are annoying, but OP, no. Geth Turrets are a freaking joke and if you have a whole team wipe to a Geth Turret, you are playing with BAD players. There is no excuse for an entire team to die to a Geth Turret.
Clearly, you have not played with PuGs on Xbox, which is what the OP is using. You can't snap-turn to target like you can in the PC version, and your first warning for most players that one of those little bastards has been shot through a wall into the room directly behind you is your shields kicking out.
Actually, OneTrueShot got into some analysis and noted that it is a bug. If you die whilst reloading, you will often have an empty mag when you're revived, or have the infamous negative mag, where the gun cannot reload and refuses to fire until you hit an ammo box.
Also, they camp corpses, and you goddamned know it. They also camp spawn points. If I had a dollar for every time I saw a player spawn into a synckill or get revived into a synckill from an enemy 15-20 feet away (even through stuns), I'd be able to afford a second copy of ME3, brand new.
They dodge projectile powers. Not Smash, or Grenades, or Hitscan. This is a bug.
No one argues that Tactical Cloak should not have been dealt with, but the way it was handled was lopsided and incorrect. Damage values should have been scaled back and problem weapons analyzed. Instead what we got was the "Damage Spike or Utility" infiltrator choice that it just-so-happened screwed duration infiltrators.
Additionally, enemies ignoring cloak is a known issue and they will see through it due to - you guessed it - a bug in their observation algorithms.
Agreed
Yes.
I am sorry he lost squad members. People get tired of games and move on. This would not change if this was the most perfect MP game of all time.
The issue with BL2 is that it appeals to the same audience D3 does, and has a lot more appeal. This game lost some players (not many) to D3, and lost more to Mann Vs Machine for TF2. As additional games that people genuinely want and which aren't likely to be bug-ridden and balance-screwed come out, the game will suffer a continued bleed unless it's fixed.
I don't disagree that the BL2 exodus will be less dramatic than it's being made out to be, but if the community truly gives up on a game, the effect will be instanteous and largely-irrevocable. Armored Core V showed this; when Namco decided to patch and support only the Japanese release, the community gave up on it and it bottomed out within 48 hours, the game was DOA.
I really don't want to see that happen with ME3. It deserves better than that. Also, idly, it's nice to be able to earnestly discuss things. I think you mark the longest multiparagraph conversation with me without someone in the thread firing off "FGT" like a homophobic sub-machine gun.

Err...no you didn't. You claimed that you and a few of your chums were in a majority, despite the overwhelming threads & posts popping up on these boards about how poor the store is.death_for_sale wrote...

So, basically death_for_sale just got owned?
You are welcome to your opinion, but I have responded to and shot down, quite easily I might add, most of the comments listed. Feel free to read them in the previous post.
Everything else was you going "Na uh! That's not true! The game's super easy 'cause I'm super-awesome and if you're not super awesome like me, you should be playing a Sesame Street game! lolololololol"
I wasn't suggesting "Nuh uh" was a quote or what have you. I was highlighting the general tone of your responces. Same way you said you "Shoot down" JaimasOfRaxis "rather easily".
Who talks like that if unless they're trying to be snobbish?
"Well you ran against me in that race buddy, but I just whooped you, quite easily I may add."
It hard to infer an elitist tone from posts like that.
I never said I had problems with gold, I don't even play it. I have no interest. Gold is supposed to be the hard difficulty, I just want to have fun. Which is what people are talking about. If people are having to bring their focusing a-game on silver or bronze because of sniping phantoms/turrets, or as a result of balance changes to stop gold farming, then something is wrong. Especially for new players. I wouldn't start my gran who's new to Tetris on a level 6. But that's what's it's like for newbies now.
Yes people have to learn patterns and such, but there's a limit. If it forces all classes, all characters, all power builds to act the same way to defeat Marky Mark, then what's the point of having all these different choices in the first place? There's a reason so many people choose infiltrator. Because if you want to play casually, your best chance is to ignore all other powers and just use the guy who gives your gun a massive damage boost (or vorcha soldier). Fred Bloggs just wanted a quick bronze game with his adept as he sips his milkshake before bedtime. He didn't want to have to focus like it's an exam just to be able to hurt some invisible gal from the across the map.
