Anyways, no, 2 weapons is fine. If you need more than that then there's a problem. Half the time I only use 1 anyways.

I push the left directional button for more ammo, run to a box and find cover somewhere else.superblaze1 wrote...
here's why i think about it. imagine if you are in the heavy fighting on Gold or Plat, when you are cornered by the enemy, you have to fight hard to keep them at bay. but what happens if you are not near an ammo crate? your primary weapon is out of ammo, you switch to your shotgun, and fight, but eventally run out of ammo. you switch to your sniper rifle and run afar, turn and snipe, rise and repeat. but run out of ammo, you switch again, this time to your secondary gun. after all heavy fighting, you succeded, but with shocking realization.. your secondary gun had 6 shots left enough. you made it out of the battle. aside from that.. (Why Theory)

I do not see that happening, PC only got 64 players as a half assed addition for the PC version of BF3, the maps were all designed with 32 players in mind (pre-DLC anyway).superblaze1 wrote...
did you hear that BF4 would allow 64 players on consoles (althrough it's just rumor, but not denied by DICE)cascinova wrote...
Xbox live, and Playstation live (whatever its called on playstation) really limit user bandwidth. They force developers into limit bandwidth usage because they don't want to overtax their networks. That's why other games like BF3 only allow 24 players on the consoles vs 64 on PCs. Adding additional weapons to each player would use up more bandwidth.
Obviously i am only making an educated guess, but i think it is a good one.
back on topic, i think it's probably an online mapping issues me thinks

Currently, the MP Characters are limited to only 2 weapons. i mean, in SP, you hold up to 5 weapons.
why was MP characters limited to 2? what was the reason why behind this?
if MP Characters weapon limit was raised to 4th, it would allow our characters to use 1 of 4 weapons that players has selected on their weapon selections. it would enable us to stay in fight and fight longer than to running to ammo crates to reload after each fight. it would cut down the running to ammo crates by least 6% of time. if we ran out of ammo on one of our weapons we switch to one. it would benefit us to pool in enough firepower to defeat enemies. The Missile weapon does not count, it counts as an 3rd weapon option in MP for hard targets why?
so think about it. would't it be nice to have at least 4 weapons for use in MP?
Personally, i think 2 weapons are more than enough. i rarely use the second weapon slot coz i usually play power dependent classes. plus if u run out of ammo you still have the "thermal clip pack"

It's because there would be no way to map the weapon switches, since in mp you just hold x to alternate between the 2 weapons. You can't do that with 3 weapis; you would have to go through 2 equips to get the weapon you want to use.
Not necessarily. They could do something like:
TAB+1 = Sniper Rifle
TAB+2 = Assault Rifle
TAB+3 = SMG
TAB+4 = Shotgun
TAB+5 = Pistol
And then the player would choose between playing loaded with various weapons, with a reduced dislocation and without biotic powers (because the recharge time would be huge) ... or play with few weapons, and can run and use their special talents.
Nevertheless, I think a maximum of 3 weapons, would be ideal.

please read the post of mine about pressing X few times, this is what i meant for changing weapons quickly.thepiebaker wrote...
in order for them to add more than two weapons theyd need to let you open the weapon selection menu which would also probably require the game to stop time which is not a favorable thing in multiplayer

I am pretty sure in Single Player X switches to the last used weapon, not cycle between them. So it will only between two weapons with each other.

in SP you can cycle between each weapon if you hit X few times.Vishwa wrote...

This may just be a rumor, but I heard from my barber, who heard from his dog walker's cousin, who heard from her step father's priest, who heard from God that it only takes one missile to clear a path to the nearest ammo crate.
I'll have to test this.
