The funny part is how the authors of threads like this seem to assume that whatever they're citing to begin with is a 100% original piece of work and its Bioware who copied it straight from them.

Damn Bioware for ripping off Homer and The Odyssey.

I'm pretty sure Dragon Age had a lot more action then The Odyssey...

Oh my, someone missed the point of my post by a long shot.

Anyhow, can anyone else see the similarities to IRL politics in the Landsmeet?

the Landsmeet is more akin to the Trial in NWN2.

The Trial was longer and more fun though. And had more Torio. The Landsmeet was rather anticlimactic.

Final Fantasy X is one of those games I want to write Square a hate letter for. I'm an FF nut. I have every single game, but Tidus cries more than Alistair ever could. That ending pissed me off so much... I can't even put into words how much that game annoyed me.

The landsmeet wasn't something I expected, in a disappointing manner.

The Battle of Mushroom Rock Road

Mushroom Rock Road? Really? That's the best name they could have come up with?

That wasn't the name of the battle, it's what I called it, since it's been a while since I played FFX, and my PS2 is broken. I don't remember if it actually HAD a name. I called it that since it happens at Mushroom Rock Road, and that's the standard naming conventions for battles....

Loose the Road.

Still a lame name though.

the name of the area where it was fought was called the Mushroom Rock Road. the 2 closest locations (and I use that term loosely, are Luca to the south and Djose Temple to the north. And those locations aren't that close to where the battle was fought.

And that's WHY the road is called Mushroom Rock Road.

The map itself that you get through before the battle is called Mushroom Rock Road and the region is called Mushroom Rock but the battle itself is called Operation Mi'ihen. We were both wrong :wizard: Been a long while.

If this is a ripoff of FFX, where are my nuke-equipped airships, giant summon beasts and underwater sports teams? Huh? WHERE?

no, it's you.

I HATED FFX with fierce passion. Gave it to one of my cousins in the philipines when i almost always save every game i buy.

I love DAO so much, ugh I do not even want to think about the money I spent on this series. I've bought 3 copies plus other paraphenalia. They should really start doing those things like Twilight and have "Team Alistair/Morrigan/Zevran/Liliana" stuff just so we can represent. Yeah.

Bet Alistair would rake in the most money. Image IPB

OMG yes. That and I seriously thought Tidus was a girl. I had to do a double take because his face was so feminine in a lot of the high def CG scenes.

And the ending was actually a blatant rip off of Ghost.

FFX's character designs have always been a point of amusement for me, due to how they switch races from caucasian in the game engine, to Koreans with wigs in the CG (due to the motion capture actors used, and no attempt to make the designs consistent).

And Morrigans look is a blatant rip off of Torio. Feathers and all :P

P.S. I love good old Weebl and Bob "We made it to Pikea!"

Dragon Age is clearly a ripoff of James Joyce's Ulyses.

Think about it...
