Having seen first hand the kind of ridiculous harrassment that my wife and daughter have received over XBL, yeah, there are plenty of people who care, and not all of them kids.  Adult men as well.  It's sickening.  My daugher (an adult now), still typically stays in private chat parties.  I get why women would prefer to game with other women rather than randoms.  You should be able to enjoy a game, using voicechat, without a realistic chance of being called a c**t, w****e, b***h, and worse.  But that's not the case on consoles using voicechat.

My wife on the otherhand...grew up on a farm around ranchers, farmers and truck drivers.  She can out swear most drill seargeants.  Plus her degree is in criminal justice and she spent a lot of time around prosecutors' offices, juvenile detention centers and jails.  It's kind of funny when someone does try to talk down to her on voice chat.  If it's a kid, she'll just mute them.  But when it's an adult....hell hath no fury.

I didn't say that it does, I just gave a shout-out to my friend who is also female like me. I don't have many other female friends who enjoy ME3 MP, and sometimes it's nice not to feel so completely in the minority. Excuse me for drawing attention to the fact that we both happen to have vaginas. 

Nothing against men whatsoever, I'm actually a big fan of the gender.

That is a bit disappointing to hear, but I have played with tons of females on ME3 and never once heard them get harrassed like that. That said, I have heard it many times when I played with one in Call of Duty games and so party chat became a favorite thing.

Well i wouldn't call them celebrities... i have played with a few forumers, some of the Team AreleX members like Ashen Earth, Slimjim, Holdenagincourt and others. I rarely encounter people from the forums in random lobbies though.... the only one i can remember is BjornDaDwarf and that was because i saw him post in this thread and i encountered him in a gold match last night.
