So talking, as anyone else does, is making it their personal business to notify everyone that they are female?  Because that's my experience.  Just interacting in the same way everyone else does is enough to get the harrassment started.

I have had a blast playing ME3 with both males and females. I agree with Ashen that gender doesn't matter in regards to player skill. Though I do wish I'd run into more games with both genders represented just to mix up the conversation and voice tones more.

Given that he talks with me here semi-regularly, this is a massive dissapointment....

Although...

I usually only ever die on wave one anyhow.

Some of the people that I do play with most often do post here from time to time. Wouldn't call anyone a celebrity as that seems silly and unnecessary but I understand the OP's point. As far as "celebrities", a few months back I was invited into a lobby that had one open spot and was hosted by Godless Paladin(sp?), aka OneWingedAngel(sorry if I'm getting the spelling wrong). I remember him because he seemed annoyed that I was invited into the lobby by a mutual friend of ours even though Godless failed to communicate that he intended to bring someone else in; and so said friend and I left to start our own lobby. Shame we couldn't play together. I could have gotten an autograph afterwards....

I've been invited to parties by cameron_bech for some speed runs. Sadly, I couldn't join because I'm either about to go into town or I'm in parties with my friends from school.

Cool. Then I suspect you're largely in agreement with the people you're arguing with.

I've never really heard harassment on ME3's MP either, and I suspect in other games, the harassment is basically the same level as what guys get, they just go with insults directed at women rather than just calling everyone a ****. Since the insults are more specific to women, and women are more rare, the feeling is that they're being harassed for being a chick rather than just because xbox live makes a surprising number of people act like psychopaths.
