You're not alone in that regard.

from my memory i've only played with 2 people from the forum randomlly that aren't on my friends list (i had some on my friends list before i even came on the forums) and it was gockey (i dind't know it was him though since his GT is different) and the other was somehting liek shakespehre who asked me during round 5 when i was showing 3 randoms how to speed run glacier if i was the same guy form the forums. only 2 in 5 months is a pretty sad number.

I played with three people so far that I recognised from here. One was Mgamerz on Cerberus/Glacier/Gold a few weeks ago, but I can't really remember anymore how that game went. I had just been about to leave the lobby when he entered, but as I recognised his GT, I wanted to play a match with him, even ignoring the fact that I had just burned through all of my remaining med-packs. Not a smart move to make when playing a Shadow.  

The second was Blind2Society a few days ago, also FBGCG, and he was really good. Topped the score by a huge margin, me being second with my Kroguard I was leveling for the weekend operation.

The first person I ever recognised from here in game I don't want to name, as he was a real **** in the match. It started with some advice in the lobby, but then he kept on harrassing everyone to follow his instructions and to play the way he wanted to, all the while being fourth on the board. Not exactly someone I would like to play with again.

This, too was on FBGCG. Apparently that's the setting you have to play if you want to run into forumites more frequently. 

One a side note, does anyone else always picture the posters on here to be the gender of their avatar? For example, for the longest time I thought that Upinya was a girl, thanks to his 'Jack' avatar.

lol avatar choices are in short supply and jack is awesome. she was my romance option for ME2 on my 1st playthorugh. and tehn my 1st on ME3. love her line at the end about you better make it out alive becuase i plan on getting laid tonight lol

When he said celebrity the first thing that came to my mind was the actor behind Miranda go figure. Lets face it besides the talent behind alot of the game characters in single there is no real celebrities in ME multi when i saw those names in the OP i couldn't help but pull a face. Can we stop taking it so seriously.

I will, but thats because I am getting called one because of the locust buff... Thus, taking it seriously is good for my ego.
