Does Insanity get harder later in the game?

Is it because MP trained me so well? Or does it get harder later in the game?

So I'm playing ME3 on Insanity for the first time. Never played ME1 or ME2 on Insanity, thought it would be too hard since I had problems on lower difficulties. Yet now I'm near the Coup in ME3 and I'm basically destroying everything lol.

Someone's bragging:lol:
Some of the missions are relatively easy, you know, the ones without bosses
The toughest fight I could remember is the 3 geth primes on Rannoch, you need to be on the move constantly...but this is expected when you are playing on insanity, do make use of heavy weapons found on site

Hmm, will remember! I had a bit of problems with the Geth Primes at the end of Dreadnaught mission tooVigilant111 wrote...

Bolded part is the reason. My first ME3 playthrough was on normal, which I found to be just right. I then played multi-player (Gold with the occasionnal Platinum matches) until the extended cut. When I started a new playthrough, I was mowing down all opposition. I had to put the difficulty on Insanity just to give the AI a chance

To me the hardest part was Grissom Academy, Eden Prime DLC, 3 Geth Primes near the end of Rannoch and first part of London (the earth shaking and holding out for evac part) the defend the missle part was quite easy I thought since you have a whole square to kite around and med packs everywhere.

Are you guys trying to coax me into playing MP?<_<
Yes
No imagine my saying the following in the voice of Admiral Hackett
"We need every N7 sacrificing everything they have against the Reapers."

On a side note, i found going through the game the first time on normal harder than i found my insanity run. Once you've learnt your powers and the best ways to take down an enemy, its an easy game on any level.

I agree w/ strive - Grissom academy was probably the most difficult. ME2 insanity was much harder. The abilities (some) weren't as strong and had a longer cooldown. The ending can be tough - unless you have a nice counter combo against the banshees. I loved bringing along liara and kaidan as an adept. Liara would warp, I'd reave, Kaidan would reave, I'd throw. As long as you take them down fast.
Does anyone miss the good 'ol days of ME2 insanity? Pull/throw combo wouldn't detonate and you could watch them fly away, you only had to worry about three abilities instead of 7 or something ridiculous like that. I think I need to play it again.

I wouldn't think so. ME3 is... not hard. Insanity SP is maybe somewhere around Bronze MP. Definitely easier than Silver. In fact, ME2 Insanity is much much harder than ME3's because every weapon/power had a specific purpose and there were no cheapo combos to settle on. ME1 is probably harder too, but more in the sense that it was kind of a grind, IMO.Vigilant111 wrote...

Enemies scale up in ME, so technically, the game does get harder... But unlike ME2, where the scaling was relatively aggressive, ME3 pretty much stops putting up a fight somewhere around the middle mark of your first playthrough IMO.... I've only done 2 1/2 PTs so far, I think, and well... I haven't been challenged for a very long time. AFAIK, a lot of players are finding this too, particularly those who played the previous games extensively.

The more you upgrade, the easier it is, if you want a challenge you need to do one of 2 things:IsaacShep wrote...

1. mod the difficulty in coalesced.bin
2. nerf yourself... as in don't upgrade, play with base weapons etc... then you can call yourself a bad ass.
EDIT: If you want I can put up a coalesced.bin with insanity difficulty that will make you wanna pluck your eyeballs out with farming equipment
