I love when campers camp during objective waves. Nothing like soloing a pizza delivery with banshees and phantoms tag teaming you.

^^ this seems to be the recurring theme of these games

Camping is a valid strategy.  I just have a hard time, from my perspective, understanding the logic behind it.  I do 12 to 18 minutes non-camp Glacier runs with Cerberus, you just need 2 decent players and 2 fodders who are a bit short of down syndrome.  That's why I can't wrap my head around why people pick Geth Glacier or Geth White.  It's considerably harder and it takes half an hour.

It's ironic that someone who obviously doesn't like how others are playing can't find people on this board who play similarly to circumvent their own frustration instead of making a thread insulting those who like to play a certain way that will almost surely attract flame and hate instead of solving their problem.

SP is linear and you have a clear spot that you need to get to. If you don't move in SP, you don't win. This is not the case for MP. You can easily sit in one spot and win, no movement required.

On gold I always run around but on platinum it is definitely easier to stay in one designated area. Not to mention that the group of players who managed a 10 minute glacier platinum round were borderline camping.

Nope.

LOL. So if I run around and nuke every spawn point on the board and kill everything people consider me farming and now if I camp on a certain board people consider me a farmer. So good strategy makes you a farmer? I guess a roving death squad of characters with synergy is also farming?

Your team needs to be well coordinated if you want to run around on platinum.  Most pugs are not well coordinated.  Hence the camping.

Im tired of plat runs on glacier whereas soon as the game loads, 1 to 2 morons make a bee line for the control room.  We need to start frap'ing games on how to play MP without cowering in a corner

Efficiency over class.

As one of the "grunts" from Red vs Blue said, and I quote....

"it's a legitimate strategy!!!!"

Don't get me wrong, I'm quite good at running around on gold (maybe not platinum, but still gold). But the problem is that most random squadmates are not. You just can't count on some of the other morons that play this game to actually be good at it, which is why often I'm limited to camping.

@ OP, how have campers affected you to the point you feel inclined to complain about it on the BSN?

you are incoorect.  the time it takes for you campers to win 11 rounds... roving already has beating 2 games.

it is not easier to sit in one spot, nor is it fun...  growing blood clots is more fun then sitting in one spot.

It's ironic because it has nothing to do with "how" people like to play so much as a PERCEIVED lack of skills of the self.  You can say it's play-style all you want, but as long as you perceive yourself to be on that LEVEL you will never taste the drive to pursue something different.  Of course, I'm speaking from one-sided experiences.  I started out from W/G/G and I thought that was alot of fun, but once I took a step out in doing something different or "challenging" I started to drift away from the routines.  Couple months later I landed on the GI/Piranha routine and was pissed about the nerfs, but I've also moved on from that.  That to me is a perceived progression, and many people will agree that it's only human to want to see other experience the same sense of progress rather than to stay in one spot. (no puns intended)

As I said, REAL combat. Real combat isnt HERP DERP KILL EM ALL while running around. Thats a good way to get killed. Combat in video games is vastly different for the purpose of fun.

If something works for someone, and they enjoy it, why should they stop? What makes you think you should be able to make everyone play how you like to? This is a prime example of the stance people take on farming aswell, and BioWare already clearly stated their stance on that, "its an effective stradegy," aswell as saying nothings wrong with it.

Also, to counter your counter, at what point in the SP do you find yourself facing wave after wave of enemies? You dont, apart from the last mission 2 seperate times, both of which are much easier and shorter then the MP.

Record some footage of you beating platinum in 15 minutes or less then. I have not played in a platinum game with friends that has taken longer than 21 minutes.

Their PUG matches, you can't exactly expect them to be the most coordinated group ever.

And by "play correctly" You mean to say there's an "incorrect" way to play this game? There are dozens of ways to play this game across all maps. Not one of them is "Correct." It boils down to what works and what doesn't. If camping works, then why not use it? If running and gunning works, then by all means go for it. But you can't expect to use "teach them how to play correctly" without backlash from those you're trying to "teach"
