This is ME3, not COD. OP must be confusing games.

In a cover shooter, you're supposed to use cover! Otherwise you're just doing it wrong.

Oh **** guys... He went to wiki for answers.....

P.s.  never played cod for the third time

Sit in a spot for 30 mins while **** slowly walks to you.  Hide behind a wall.  How N7 like!

Because real N7s put their lives and the mission at risk unnecessarily. They might fail the mission and lose their lives, but at least they can say "I ran around in the open while getting shot by Primes, warped by Banshees, set on fire by pyros, shreded by turrets, snuck up on by Hunters, and blasted by hand cannons. True story." if they survive.

Anywho, it's cool if you camp, cool if you run around. One is safer, one is faster. Doesn't really matter so long as things work out,.

Also, if bw fixed that lil cover blocks banshees trick, what would you guys do then?

Yeah, likewise my 6/6/6/6/6/0 SI armed with a Black Widow. Once he's reduced to run & gun you know it's all gonna be over soon.

Snipe, snipe, snipe, relocate when under pressure/run out of enemies. Snipe, snipe snipe, relocate... help with missions - sometimes from outside the zone. Holding a couple of Primes at bay away from the team hack is generally seen as a good thing.

Camping is only a worry when the tent comes down, and they put in foundations for a house!

Good. Now try again without skipping half of my sentence.

Why? Was commenting on that portion of the sentence. Arguing something is "more fun" or "less fun" has no purpose.

Rest of the sentence had no problems.

Nope. More than one.

Ok, 2. One to state it, one to explain what I meant by it. I could easily combine them into one if youd like.

Oh, I remember back in the day when these forums were filled with tips and tricks for surviving gold and the top one was always "Take cover so you don't get your bum shot off." Why is there all of this hate for people who are taking cover for a round so as to not have their bums shot off?

I don't see why so many people complain about campers.

They're always in predictable spots on the map, which in turn makes the enemy spawns predictable, and unlike leechers they might actually kill things if they get too close to their camp spots.

Im tired of plat runs on glacier whereas soon as the game loads, 1 to 2 morons make a bee line for the control room.  We need to start frap'ing games on how to play MP without cowering in a corner

Efficiency over class.

As one of the "grunts" from Red vs Blue said, and I quote....

"it's a legitimate strategy!!!!"

Don't get me wrong, I'm quite good at running around on gold (maybe not platinum, but still gold). But the problem is that most random squadmates are not. You just can't count on some of the other morons that play this game to actually be good at it, which is why often I'm limited to camping.

Personally, I found that it's much easier to run around on plat than gold.  After a while I felt there's a distinct lack of enemy synergy on plat that is prominent on gold.  So if you can run around on gold... I'd say chances are you'd do alot better with that on plat.

Yeah. The thing is I could probably handle platinum no problem. I only ever tried it once with a team of people and we failed due to bad luck. A banshee teleported through a wall and blocked my exit, insta-killing me. Then each of the others (two due to glitches) died one by one and we all failed.

That was right after platinum came out. The only reason I haven't tried it again is because I've basically stopped playing me3 multiplayer. I only come on now and then to do weekend challenges so when I do finally get back into it, I'll have really good n7 weapons.

Notice that op never actually answered this question. It's accusations against campers that are backed with emptiness and the void of space.

In other words: Empty accusations.

camping is for losers who suck imo

i really wish bioware would penalize those who camp

I wish bioware would penalize those who criticize other people's strategy of play.

It's a game, people.  A video game.  No one gets hurts--this is not life and death.  Why does anyone care what other people decide to do that's not a ban-able offense?

It's fine by me if non-campers prefer standing out in the open absorbing as many bullets as possible.  It takes the heat off of me...which means I can kill more things.

True that.

Really what I meant was, if I'm not dying, and I'm managing to kill things, am I not then playing the game correctly, regardless of whether or not I'm camping?

I play a sniper most of the time, so running around out of cover is not the obvious choice for me. Hunkering down somewhere that I know nothing is going to spawn behind me and then shooting things that are way far away makes much more sense with my weapon setup and often rather low shield rating. That being said, taking cover in the corner is my way of not making those run and gun types have to turn around and revive me over and over again, which is convenient for everyone, because they tend not to bother coming over and reviving me when I'm trying to run and gun with them.

I don't mind campers with the following exceptions.

1. When they can only camp. If you can't handle doing objectives such as pizza, 1234 and escort without getting killed fifteen times then maybe it's the wrong difficulty for you. Especially great when none of them move for any of the objectives, i'm not sure with everyone else but I have never seen an escort come to me, or a 1234 move to their position...maybe i'm wrong.

2. When i get dropped into a camp fest, I don't like to camp and if i'm in white/geth/gold by choice then it's something I want to do, I hate having to waste consumables getting out of a camp fire that i wanted nothing to do with.

I'm sure camping is a valid strategy, just not one I subscribe to.

Depends on who I'm playing with. Some of my friends camp while others run around the map. Theirs nothing wrong with camping its just very boring after a while for some people.

I don't think it's directed towards one rounders, i'm sure everyone has had to once or twice, but it's directed more towards the people who ONLY camp, for a solid 10 rounds. Once again i'm sure it's a valid strategy, just not for me.

Actually, as the World Wars saw the dawn of trench warfare, one might say that most soldiers in them were campers as they dug cover that they could use and then shot at other people who had dug cover that they could use.

Did you know that the British who were stuck in the old mindset of not taking cover and just sending a line of guys up against another line of guys lost a whole lot of battles against the americans who had learned from the natives that hiding behind trees and then shooting people tended to be a very good strategy against people who didn't take cover?

Is creating a "campers/farmers/Pugs suck" thread some sort of obligatory task you have to perform? Cause I see at least a couple of them every day on this forum.

The only time I don't run to do objectives is when it's one of those 1234 objectives and there's an infiltrator in the group with max duration. In those cases, it's better to let them solo the objective, and I most certainly feel that way when I'm the infiltrator. A cloaked infiltrator won't get much attention from nearby enemies, especially if the others are shooting and getting their attention. When people try to help my infiltrator, however, they tend to put me at greater risk. Can't recall how many times my cloaked infiltrator got taken down by indirect fire because a non-cloaked player was standing too close to me. I appreciate that they're trying to help. It's better than those that don't help with objectives at all. It's just that in those specific cases they're doing more harm than good. So, I wait to see what the infiltrator will do. If they don't seem inclined to do what they're best suited to do, then I run around activating beacons.

To all of you who compare fbw/glacier camping with real life warfare. This is what happens in reality, when one side just defends passively.
