I just got ME3, bought it straight from Origin.

When I open mulitplayer it invites me to visit the shot before making a new character, so I do.  I find 2 redeemable packs, 1 starter, one from owning Battlefield 3.  I redeem both packs, make characters, spend points, check out my weapons, et cetera.

At this point, you'd think the characters are saved, but when I go back to the store the characters are wiped and despite using the items within the packs to MAKE these characters (the BF3 pack or the +XP pack to vanguard) and upgrade them, the packs are still there and the characters are gone.

This happens ad infinitium; the packs never seem to truly redeem and my characters never seem to fully save.

I also get disconnects at odd times, and I have no problems with any other online game.

Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Welcome to ME3 mp. The store is a joke and will rob you all kinds of ways. Sorry I don't have any suggestions for you. You could try EA support but they are a bigger joke from what I have heard.
