Yeah I know, that was a bit noobish of us. Don't forget the Asari sniper. That was so lame.

We'll get better eventually and we won't have to rely on OP builds. It's gonna take some time though

The Katana is not that bad, actually. It's lightweight and deadly if you aim for the head. I use it on my shotfiltrators.

Maybe on Bronze/Silver with a level 20 infiltrator with 80% damage bonus and full weapon damage in the passive tree.

On platinum it can't even kill a geth turret in one shot,, although freaking Tactical Scan can.

Maybe I should have taken proxy mine instead of hunter mode, wave 5 was a close call because of those damn swarmers.

Hunter Mode was really useful but sometimes I really wished I had proxy mines instead. Failing the mission because of swarmers ? Now that would have been insulting.

I hope you're just kidding, because "anybody @ lvl 1 can do Platinum"?

I've met tons of Randoms, which couldn't even manage Silver or Gold with Level 20 characters.

Anyhow, why don't you post a video of your great Lvl. 1 Platinum run without the Salarian Engineer?
