Kind of surprised actually. The IGN Playstation team has been pretty adamant about how amazing Mass Effect 3 is. Their original "review" looks like an ad, rather than a review...and it only made 11 in their section...while being left out of X360 all together. It's a pretty interesting list, with a few safe bets, but a number of calls that I didn't see coming. Mirrors Edge makes the cut, as does Rock Band 3 and a few other games that were less popular. I'm also happy CoD4 made the list, and no other game in the series.

If I'm not mistaken, they already had Mass Effect 1 as the best game on Xbox, except last year: Mass Effect 2 was number 1 and Mass Effect 1 was somewhere in the bottom part of the top 10.

Anyway, the lack of The Witcher 2 saddens me: it's a great port and an amazing game, it should have the spot of Fallout 3...

What a terrible list. Those people are seriouslyy useless. Mass Effect 1 is a 'okay' game in my opinion, but best 360 game ever? Shut up IGN.

I don't agree with the choice of Mirror's Edge. The game may be innovative, but it doesn't deserve a top 10 spot. Also, as much as I like ME, I prefer that ME2 be number 1. Also, don't get me started on Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom being on the list as opposed to Mortal Kombat (2011).

Ever since ME3, I tried both TW2 and Fallout 3.  I would've sworn I would prefer TW2 over Fallout3, but it was just the opposite.  TW2 was very tedious and a bit confusing for those not familiar with TW1.  I'm loving Fallout 3 though.  I think I'm a bit over the whole human-elf-dwarf genre.  During that same period, I started DA2 and that lasted about 3 hours until I lost interest. I think BW could do wonders with the Fallout genre as an IPO for the next gen.  Wishful thinking I suppose..

Not certain how seriously I can take that list. Since both Halo 3 and ODST made the cut, I'm guessing it wasn't limited to one game per franchise, so I definitely would have included ME2 and DA:O. But then I also don't consider Mass Effect a superior role-playing experience.

On TV, some station has been playing a "Top 100 Games of All Time". I was SHOCKED (no pun intended) that Bioshock was ranked the #3 best game of all time. To think it beat out so many classics. Personally, that would be my #1 Xbox 360 game, though I have a couple that I would rank higher on an 'all time' list.

No Fallout: New Vegas? Or Resident Evil?

I'm puzzled by the dance, guitar, and racing games being on the list, but maybe that's just because I don't like those types of games.

Mass effect 1 really wasn't all that. It had an okay story. I only liked it at the time because it reminded me a lot of kotor but other than that the gameplay kind of sucked.

I really started to get into mass effect when ME2 came around.

I'm sure that would make a "Top 25 PS3 Games" list. Actually, no I'm not sure as I haven't played it. I heard it's awesome though so I'm assuming it would make a "Top 25 PS3 Games" list. Either that or Demon Souls.

I could see it, especially since the series originated on the PS3.

I had a very odd relationship with Dark Souls. I bought it around last Christmas on a whim (wanted something new to play). I absolutely hated it, but Gamestop offered me a really weak trade-in. So I gave it another shot and somehow it went from my most hated game to one of the most unique experiences I ever had. Highly recommend it.
