Well, I enjoyed it. There were interesting revelations, and a nice balance between combat and investigation. I will say that it was a bit of a missed opportunity to include Batarians in the story. Since they discovered the Leviathan, wouldn't have made more sense for them to be doing what Task Force Aurora was up to? I mean, I did like the characters they introduced, but it might have been more interesting if they weren't humans again. Just a thought, anyway.

Brilliant! Everyone gets destroyed by synthetics so lets make a synthetic to solve the problem! What could possibly go wrong?

Everyone keeps assuming the Leviathans were intelligent. When the Catalyst of all people calls them retarded.

The only thing that made the Leviathans so powerful was how they operated, which was through mind control, much like the Thorian. That doesn't necessarily mean they're smart however.

I like it though, it casts the crucible choices in an even worser light.

They created the AI and ba******* child so they are apex of creation the first race if you will eons ago.
As Leviathan said they were beneath it so they left AI to do as it wants and AI was so powerful (as created by these godlike being ) that it managed to harvest its creators.

However I woul never ever trust AI basta*d chld as its lying to suit its purposes when it ltalks about this all.
It says there is no WAR that we are ibn conflict but they want our best !!!! thats is flawed and propestous logic.

well my son still had bw points left over he wasent inpressed with da2 and dident buy all the me2 dlc so we decided to use his points on this since I havent deleted the games off my h/d yet we bought and played this

while some of the stuff was intresting in the dlc having to run back to the lab 3 difrent times was a bit much. the head in the lab while creepy dont really see the point of taking it back to your cabin the though of sleeping while that thing watches would give a normal person nightmares.

Dident bother to check if the journel was fixed to much in the habbit of not bothering to look .

new dilog with crew was ok but it was still autodilog i hated z's and k's auto dilog in me2 and never bothered to talk to them because of it still dident fell like your talking to your old friends just like clicking on an object to get a line or two of dilog.

the new characters were not intresting dident care if i saved them or not, would have loved to hear the old crew or even Javik comment on how shep and Javik knew what it was like to lose a few years time when you talked to the miners after the artifact was destroyed.

dident replay the ending couldent stomic the though of another run threw london just to hear 1 or 2 lines from the star brat but I will say after running threw all the investigate options it makes me dread the endings even more and i dident think that would be posable.

to many shades of arival where you have no choice deleted that one off my h/d after one run threw and never played it again. you are once again left with no choice its run here do this and you have war asset weather you want them or not, which dosent matter in the end other than you have a old race that are slavers now on your side and who will most likley try to turn every race into their slaves once the reapers are gone so no not worth the 10 for us other than using up the left over bw points that were sitting on one acc.

extra firepower pack didnet really care other than again dumping bw points off the acc as my son put it money was spent over a year ago grab what we can to make it as close to a 0 blance as we can then we wont be adding any more.

Other than a few lines between the Catalys and Shepard, is there any addition to the endings? Like an ominous slide with three space lobsters look like they're plotting something in their watery hideout, or indoctrination balls stashed away in every slide. Or maybe news of a waterworld suddenly boiled by controlled Reapers, wiping out all life form on it.

'cause that's a highly relevant bit of information, it would seem.

No .there is additional convo on the Wheel 2 times and 3 times . Bas*ard child says that they are were flawed as well or something stupid like that and that they welcome their return. Also confirms that harbringer is first reaper .The rest I dont remebmer but I will go over it again and tell you more later. ...

All in all it adds to the whole sttory arc nicely and really should have been included in the original game.
Prsonally Bioware I think after Karpyshyn left lost the plot ...Casey got arrogant and thought he can do job as good which clearly he cant.
Also the departure of Bioware co-founder Greg Zeszchuk few weeks ago also speaks volumes.
I think Muzyka is next  to go as both of them didnt attend yearly company meeting this year which a thing unheard of.
If he goes than Bioware as we know will cease to exist.

Lets see...

What they should do now is this. in the refusal ending, as opposed to just losing the war, let us see all our assets at least try and win the war. We are already awhere that four dreadnoughts can kill a reaper, and now we have the leviathans that can also kill reapers, AND we have those ball thingies that can turn reaper troops against reapers, and yet we STILL lose the war if we refuse the crucible?!?! Come on bioware, you missed a trick here.

It'll be interesting if those who've completed all the SP DLCs once they're out will have a shot at a conventional victory. This is only the first SP DLC (not counting From Ashes) and already we've gotten the most advanced race in the known galaxy on our side, it makes me wonder if BW could possibly up the ante in future DLCs and what else we'll be able to obtain as war assets.

Just watched 2 hour recording of some guy playing Leviathan till the end, my thoughts:

How the hell could they screw Starbrat logic even more - IF Bioware changed the nature of Reapers from....reaping evil machines who use organics as crops, to AI with faulty logic "protecting life at all cost", why would they want to "speed up HARVEST by creating Relays" <- are we back to ME1 Reapers, that just wanted to get rid of all organics as soon as possible to prevent Dark Energy spread?

Also, if only one Reaper is created per harvest, why Leviathans could not stop first few Reapers, when there were like 2-3 of them?

Also, why change the Rachni Wars backstory? It was written in stone, that Rachni Wars were caused by Sovereign, who was using Rachni after failing to open the Citadel (hacked Keepers signal).

Do we really need bad-guys getting backstory after 120 hours of gameplay? Was anyone ever like "OH GOSH, them Reapers, please, tell me more about them?". Nope, they were a backdrop used for all character-driven scenes and sidestories of different species.

Also, I still don't get it how Batarians got science team that was like "yup, it's million year old", where the name Leviathan came from, who killed who, what was causing Batarian officials to be all terrorist-like, but maybe I missed a few lines.

Shepard is certified moron, he had seen indoctrination happening before, yet is all like "IS SOMETHING WRONG?" during whole miners-level, also, had seen what Leviathan can do when controlling people, yet all used to keep Brynn in check during tracking-scene is James and his beefed up arms...

Was this really written by Patrick Weekes? If yes, I am dissapoint...

I expected Batarians to play a role. An investigate mission with Batarians would've been nice.

lol....Good point mate...
I just hate that basta*d child Ai idea with a vengeance as it makes zero sense...
Few days ago On eurogamer they interviewed Karpyshyn ...Why he left ? how did they write the story ? what does he think of ME3 > etc
all pathethic Politically correct answers etc ..looks like he might want his job baack in case wrting desnt work out..
but what sruck me was tthat he said that they never planned anything outright ...they just go with the flow etc ads there are so many people on the team and eveyone wantsa input ...so they include this and that ..etc

All that points out to chief person who oversees all that ans make sure it makes sense ...
ME1 made sense ...ME2 less but one can feel they changed direction ...ME3 great game but is all over the place story wise ..hence we got the endings we got.....

I wonder if the other creatures from the creature sightings board mean anything. i remember seeing an interesting photograph of something that kind of looked like a mirelurk king, that seemed to recur throughout the lab.

Well having now just completed it a second time i really have enjoyed it but for the feel of it is just exactly like the feel i got from Project Overlord DLC, good, got some emotional stuff in it, but for the most part rehashed from the same stuff over and over again, combat is similar to multiplayer yes it is, i do enjoy the planet from 2181 combat, and Ann Bryson's dig site that was quite fun, i do enjoy going back to the lab on the Citadel the several times we are allowed too, it's something i did wish we could do in the lair of the shadow broker. Wish we could talk of had a talk with Doctor Bryson than him getting killed in the first two minutes of the DLC. The investigation part was alright could of been better i did get more assets by keeping Ann alive the first time around i sadly just kept hitting renegade. The war assets do explain things like the Dextro reserves that the Turians and Quarians need when the relays get disabled, the vorcha homeworld! So awesome love to have a DLC about that! Vorcha war assets very awesome, the rest of the assets are a great addition, and do explain some things, and do tie in with the DLC like the Asari experimentation on Husk brains and the nano tech in the brain, not happy we only get 20 point for Ann, and what 400 only for the Enthrallment team seriously?! Should be around 800 or so, even with the most war assets i have even without the modified coalesced i am using it's the same thing 77,000 something yeah i know bit weird, and also i haven't done any of the endings just not in the mood to go through that again waiting for some videos, if someone could post extra talk with the Catalyst, and the new refusal ending with the Leviathan talking.
I also enjoyed the music it was fun and interesting, the new slower version of the final talk music from Overlord was a nice treat, and the music when talking with the Leviathan was awesome and the only thing i wish BW used people more closer to you like your love interest, and your squadmates. The origin of the reapers was interesting, i liked how he went back and forth and talked about how they were the apex creatures, i am very interested in future DLC's more about them, i know their's more of them out there, interested to visit their homeworld too, they do remind me a lot of Roman history. I do wish the talk was a bit longer but the mystery has to be kept, and the talk was just about the same length of the talk with Sovereign on Virmire.

Leviathan: 5/5 stars. Excellent
Ashes: 5/5 stars. Excellent (Javik rocks!)
EC: 2/5 stars. Addressed some big "What Just Happened?" concerns, but didn't go far enough.
Overall ME3: I'm waiting for the ending to make sense. I think it will eventually, but not yet.

So now when we all the players on the board so to speak...

What if Leviathan been included from scratch..
What if it been The Catalyst..
What if the Citadel just a means for powering The Crucible...
What if the plans for The Crucible originated with Leviathan...
What if the very creators of the mess was there trying to set it right again...

But noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...
That be soooo mundane and might actually even make kind of sense...

So we settle with Yo Dawg and scripts by Tie Dog...
