Anyone think that we might get some kind of Reaper forces in MP as a result of Leviathan?

Seems possible, actually. I'd love to play as a modified Marauder. Hey, it happened with the Geth, I don't see why it won't with the Reapers.

Cannibal and Marauder for sure...Husk would be no fun...not sure that they could make a Ravager, Brute or Banshee work...but it could be a way to introduce some new Reaper forms.

Edit: Part 1 - To the post directly above, I concur.
Part 2 - Leviathan just seems to be such a gold mine of opportunity, I would hate to see them waste it...this would be a really cool way to tie the SP and MP story lines together.

I doubt.
I believe it's more possible new Reaper troops (like elcors, volus, hanar etc) or even a new faction (collectors maybe)

Collectors wouldn't work, though. If a new Reaper enemy is being introduced, it'd be the Adjutant. Which will also appear in Omega DLC, I'm sure of it.

There's a reason they hardly ever feature elcor or hanar in the games actually doing anything, they're a pain to animate.

Having them as playable characters would take so much extra effort. It's possible, but I doubt it extremely.

Plus, I'm not sure how balance or gameplay would work, voluses (volii?) are physically weak, hanar prefer to use drell for fighting and elcor have shoulder-mounted cannons in lieu of actual weapons.

Edit: I meant cannons, canon has been shot to pieces enough...

I liked it, it wasn't an incredible DLC but it was good enough.

After watching the DLC, was I the only one who was disappointed that Levi wasn't the "rogue Reaper" we thought he was going to be?

I hadn't thought that for a while, but I had been hoping, back when that's what I thought, for more on the batarians by proxy. That disappointed me.

Good to see that this has generally been well-received. I've stated before I felt it was "good" (not great) and liked it. Interesting new characters and locations, and I especially liked the squad banter and little bit of LI-specific lines (Tali in most of my games).

Some of the things I liked were apparently not popular overall. Such as I liked how the escort drone/pick up power cell scenarios mixed things up a bit for the sp game. And in contrast to many others, I was actually underwhelmed by the final underwater moments. With the dlc being defined by images of the underwater mech, expectations were high but it played as little more than an interactive cutscene (a well-crafted one at least).

But I got my money's worth in entertainment and extra "loot"/weapon/power. And given that I've played it through on four character files, the short playthroughs add up collectively.

^^ For the most part, the reason drone scenarios weren't liked that much is because it's been in the MP for quite a while now. It's gotten boring (for those of us that play MP, that is).

I, myself, didn't mind it. It was a nice break for the otherwise stagnating gameplay in SP.

I always want to see DLC impact the story more, even more so with Leviathan...and I don´t mean the ending, but people talking more about it and so on. I guess that isn´t always possible, but having the squadmates give feedback after the mission is a step in the right direction ^^

As far as I'm aware this DLC did change the way some characters reacted in the game, though. Like Catalyst and Balak

In any event, ME2 had it a lot easier to create SP content, seeing as how the game had a sequel in production with the intent of solving the suggested problems, and that it could be played after the main story was completed, which allowed for a broader interpretation of events.

Jondum Bau also mentions Leviathan(If i am not wrong).
Anyway, this DLC is a improvement in all categories over the ones Bioware released for ME2 and ME1.

i like this dlc, it opens up more possible scenarios and shows that the Reapers miss things when Cleansing the Known Galaxy of their existence. This DLC is the perfect excuse Bioware can use to add Protheans to MP but more importantly it foreshadows in ME4 races from previous cycles that survived in similar ways like Leviathans will probably emerge from the ashes of the war that Shepard helped win for the Galaxy

I was just thinking back to one of the BioWare people (I think Mac Walters) commenting on the lack of dialogue in the original ending. About how they decided the players don't need to know about the reapers, like how long they'd been reaping and who built them. Now I know why. They decided to cut the explanation so they could sell it as this DLC.

Yeah, Mac mentioned it in Geoff Keighley's Final Hours of ME3 piece.

Cutting those details and selling it as DLC later is one explanation (and given the lead time for DLC content, it's certainly possible), but isn't it also possible that Leviathan's emphasis on the origins of the Reapers was shaped by the reaction to the endings? As in, they might've originally intended for the details of the Reapers to *remain* vague, but the fact that a lot of people had trouble with deliberately-ambiguous-Starchild could've prompted a decision to just throw open the floodgates and explain everything. At this point I wouldn't even be surprised if there *were* no concrete origins of the Reapers written before the Extended Cut, and that the whole galactic-cuttlefish-ruling-the-galaxy plotline was conjued up after the launch of ME3.

We don't really know what the original plans were for post-launch content (or even if it's changed; Leviathan might've been something they were always planning) but I'd expected something more like small vignettes of war around the galaxy, instead of an attempt to explain and clarify the ending and Reaper storyline for the third time.

Just finished my ME3 playthrough with the Leviathan DLC added.
That 1 second kick to the blls at the end with your LI pictured, titanic in front of a standing, dying Shepard. WTF was that?
A quick tribute?
Or a hint?

Let me guess.... no boss battle and recycled enemies from the main story.

I wasn't expecting neither a boss battle nor new enemies. This isn't a new game, this is a DLC for an existing game. And it's not our, or Bioware's fault that you don't consider crescendo events as 'boss battles'.

...you mean that crescendo event that, on insanity, i spent the entire time running around cloaked, not getting shot at, not shooting anything and leaisurely strolling up to the missiles and pressing A to win the game?

haha! i wish it were that easy for a biotic. although it wasnt that bad on insanity either way, just go to the lower one, it was diserted mostly.

Yeah....crescendo....

I'd say that's more likely.

To be more specific, I think Leviathan was planned. But I'm very certain the response to ME3's ending affected a lot of the details and exposition we were given. It was probably more vague, and less detailed then what we got now.
