I thought Games were meant to be enjoyed with others? Some of you guys are really antisocial huh?

No. You thought wrong. Especially not BW games.

Well actually, apparently you're the one who thought wrong, because this game has multiplayer.

MP ends up sucking the fun out of games and I play a lot of MP games.  They are timeconsuming and end up being not very challenging.  One guy once wrote into the editors at Game Informer and it made a lot of sense.  He always strived to do everything he could in CoD games for the MP.  He finally would reach the highest prestige level and then wondered what he had been doing that all for.

Don't get me wrong, MP can be fun enough, but for people that played ME that wasn't what it was all about.  It is a part of the ME universe now for the micro transactions.  I would rather pay for map packs than have to earn credits for those packs.  ME was about the story and a lot of ME3 was watered down so that resources could be used for MP.

I'm gonna buy every download they make for ME3 just to spite the haters they say they don't care but deep inside it eats them up.

Oooh, my blood is boiling at such a thought, what a terrible person you are!  You know what would really eat me up?  What if you just donated $2000+ to Bioware?  That's like, 200 buys for Leviathan.  That would really make us mad and show us "haters" who the foolish ones are.  I just hope that you would never undertake such a despicable action.  The only thing that would be even worse is to give all of your money to Bioware, man would that show us!

Why would other people care what you do with your money? I'm not buying any DLC because I don't feel BW has earned my support for anything in the ME franchise anymore. I don't care if I'm in the minority, or if I'm the only one, really ... and I don't care if anyone does buy it. Why should I? That's what a market driven economy is all about, buying things you like, not buying things you don't like, and letting the people who make them track the trends and adjust accordingly

I'd say they know d4m well the reason for it.

I'd also say that the majority of anti-ending threads on this forum have been read by bioware and EA alike.

The question is: "Do they even care about the consumers anymore?"

EA are evil corporate douchebags, not idiots.

If you ignore everything that's been said about this game since the ending debacle began, then and only then can you genually convince yourself people don't buy single player dlc because they rather want ME3 multiplayer dlc.

As for myself, I simply haven't purchased Leviathan dlc because I have no interest in replaying the series after that ridiculous ending, not because I want to prove a point to BioWare.

The question is: "Do they even care about the consumers anymore?"

Why should they? EA figures the majority of gamers are dumb cattle who will buy future dlc and games anyway, no matter what they do. If you act like cattle, they will simply treat you as such. No need to care about their customers at all.

I did indeed buy Leviathan partly due to simply supporting future DLC. It is a solid 7/10 (which is "Good"). One could go without, but I liked it (and have played with multiple Sheps). A nice package including bonus weapon/upgrade/power if you do buy.

However, sometimes you have to step up and support something with a longer term outlook. Like buying one of those not-so-great Futurama movies may well have helped support the series revival that eventually followed.

The answer to that is 'yes.'

What 'yes' does not mean, however, is 'do whatever any particular group of consumers desire.'

Understandable. But I personally don't put stock on blind faith when the person in question has already proven himself undeserving of such.

ME3 is the ONLY game I ever pre-ordered. Period. I walked in with blind faith thinking that there was no way they would mess this up. (Little did I know Mac Walters was behind the wheel.) Avoided spoilers like the plague.

Then they pull this on us, after they had their 80 or so dollars apiece.

We gave them numerous chances to fix this. Numerous chances to speak to us clearly throughout this whole thing.

We can see how it turned out.

So now, if they want money I'm seeing the full product first. If this thing turns into another DA2, fine, I don't care. Part of me actually hopes it does at this point. If they're so hellbent on destroying their universe, I won't stop them.

If they want me to spend money on DLC for the long term plan, they need to at least show me what it is they are going for.

"...holding on to my copy of ME3 forever" just doesn't quite do it for me.

All due respect, the fear mongering of the OP doesn't move me. BW made their bed with ME3. They reap what they sow. People listening to fear speak instead of making up their own minds in their own best interest is... well, that point of view has cast a much wider web of problems than just one video game.

In other words, I'm not buying an extra for a game I was exceptionally disappointed by simply because the company that created the original product might stop making more add-ons for the original product. As far as I'm concerned, BW already stopped making the ME I want - so buying more of something I don't want doesn't make a lick of sense. For me.

Anyone else, to each his own. YMMV, FWIW.

I'm not going to throw money at DLC I won't play just because "maybe the next one witll be different"  If they want me to buy DLC, they'll have to make dlc I'd want to buy.  Something that adds value to the game.

And how does adding OPTIONAL co-op ruins the game, huh? If you dont like it, dont play it.
There wont be an AI following you like in RE5 if you decide to play SP.
Get your facts straight before you whine about things that you havent seen in full.

For starters it ties up resources (read money and man hours) that could be used towards shoring up the traditional single player campaign that has made the series a smash hit.  On top of that the character that is paired with Issac, based on the previews, is a mindless cookie cutter grunt in the same mold as James Vega, who from what I saw wasn't well received by Mass Effect fans so why they would want to make a similar character for another flagship franchise is beyond me.

Also one of the most freqent complaints about a similar title, Resident Evil 5, was the addition of co-op.  Granted it can be done right, my personal favorite example ironically enough arethe on rail shooters Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles and Dead Space Extraction where the characters mesh well together and feed off each other.  In fact that chemistry between a pair of characters in a situation like DS3 that warrants co-op is absolutley vital.

In short all could be forgiven if the character is likeable and the games survival horror aspect isn't sacrificed but based on trailers and the PR speak from EA themselves that will likely not be the case.
