I easilly found a name for my Mabari in Origins, it was called "Gidoblin" a name I myself invented for one my cats.

I spent hours thinking an appropriate name for the Mabari in DA2, couldn't find an appropriate one so I gave him a stupid name.

I'm already thinking of DA3.

How will you call your Dog? Are there particular fantasy names you like?

Erebus in DAO, Fionn in DA2 (the latter being a Celtic-area word for "Fierce," IIRC).

And I don't want a mabari in DA3. I'd rather have a dragonling or something.

Currently I name my Warden's mabari what Hawke's name will be and vise-versa, that way it's easy to keep track of which import was used. I use names from fantasy novels a lot, many are named from the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series. My favorite mabari name so far is Fengbold.

Dog in DA:O (just because that's what the game files call it). Some random guy name that pops into my head for the second Dragon Age (as well as most games where I don't know the canon or game-files name).

The last nameable dog in a video game I played received the name "Chaz". I don't remember any of the previous ones.

My Dog in DAO was named Fang, and my DA2 dog was named Drifter.

I name him Lucky in every new game I create. That's the name of my baby dog, who has passed away since I first started playing.

If I was to name it anything else, it would probably be Fenrir.

My dog in Origins was called Wrath.
My dog in DA2 was called Ruin.

I called my first dog Wrath because I couldn't spell anything else.
I called my second dog Ruin because Wrath was already taken.
