From what I've read it's to enable the new trophies for the Leviathan DLC.

Confirmed it does allow Trophies, as I don't have Leviathan yet, pretty sure no ps3 player does... I can now view Leviathan trophies though!!! There's only 4... to make matters worse they're only bronze and silver... not even one gold...sigh...

It's just for the DLC.

That makes sense. You cannot add trophies in the DLC you have to add them with a regular patch.
Does anyone know when the DLC goes live?

Rataska I would estimate within the next 3 hours, that's usually when I get my DLC

That's less than exciting. I was hoping that it would fix the vanguard glitches. It happened to me three times in a row once (before I swore off the class until a fix comes). First I started floating into the sky, then I came back to life every time I died. I was the only one left alive in the squad, so it was an unending loop, making the game unwinnable and unlosable. For the good of the other players, I decided to leave the game.

The patch also fixes the lag when you first enter the multiplayer screen. That's all I've noticed so far.

 bought leviathan dlc, downloaded patch, played a few hours, rekindled Liara LI, first time i heard Liara mention Shadow broker LI, haven't not played leviathan dlc yet

Well what if I don't buy Leviathan DLC? No Shadow Broker relationship?

The patch installed new trophies for Leviathan, but if i don´t buy the DLC and therefore don´t have the possibility to win those trophies, will i still get the platinum trophy if i get all the others??
