Probably bigger because ME was an Xbox game first and of all of the teens and kids that cannot afford a game rig so they get a console (I am of the latter crowd not being able to afford a game rig)

and like all of the PS3 people keep saying they do not get splash screens so....

You have a loose definition of carrying then as us PC mates would have topped the allied goal requirements easily by ourselves. That's not carrying. The PS3 playerbase though, ... they were being carried for sure that you could say.

  Simply a friendly dig at the legion of posts on these forums that indicate bad player behaviour is singular to the xbox and not the pc.

As someone else said, Xbox 360 has always been the home of Mass Effect, so I'm not that surprised. I did my share for Xbox Live, promoting all 6 classes.

Also, it's clear there must be a DLC around the corner. Most of the frequent players already have all character and weapons, so it'd make sense that one should be coming at the end of September or the first two weeks of October.

Depends on what you mean.  Active players it's actually probably a little less than that, but when a new DLC comes out it will likely baloon up by a factor of five or more.

The way this xbox user sees it is simple. There are three platforms, and the one with the fewest promotions still had well over 1/3 of the required total. We all did our part. N7 unity. As Shepard would say, it will take all of us to defeat the Reapers. (or future objectives at least)

For some reason, as I was reading the bit about the "unexpected resistance faced by our soldiers", all I could think about were the staggering numbers of disconnects I had over the weekend, more than I've ever had before (and haven't had any since.)

By the way, Xbox did not carry PC. PC actually surpassed the goal on its own. Xbox contributed more, but then they have a larger player base.
