Soldiers of the Milky Way –

It is now common knowledge that Operation ALLOY did not go strictly as planned. Sweeps in what should have been relatively low-risk areas were met with heavy enemy resistance. Fortunately, reports from the field indicate that our troops persevered and were able to strike back. I’ve already been informed of a number of well-deserved promotions. In light of these reports, Operation ALLOY has been deemed a success. 

Over the next few days you’ll likely hear many stories about our talented new recruits. I would also like to congratulate the experienced soldiers who fought alongside them. It is under your guidance and leadership that these new recruits excelled. They are now prepared to join our forces on the front lines, and we are all stronger for it.

While we celebrate Operation ALLOY’s success, we need to be aware that the unexpected resistance faced by our soldiers may be symptomatic of a larger issue. We’ve been receiving a number of strange reports that are inconsistent with our knowledge of Reaper ground troop movement. At this point, intel is vague at best. Rest assured we are pursuing the matter.

i knew we were going to win but i am suprise there are not a lot of ps3 player
and it is a good thing that they gather information accross the 3 console

I'm not totally surprised. In a popular PS3 forum I'm active in, there's only me and a couple other people that regularly express interest in and post info about these operations.

Not to mention that the PS3 doesn't get a splash screen for these operations, so a lot of people probably didn't know about promoting their level 20s.

There was no Operations for PS3 for the first few weeks so obviously a lot less people got hooked up. EA/Bioware should've sorted it out with Sony before the release

I've never ever had any doubt that we wouldn't manage 50'000 promotions.
What I'm surprised at (in a good way) is that we've promoted 5x more.

I'm a PS3 gamer and I didn't know about those events until a few days ago. From now on I'll try to stay tuned using this forum.

As a PS3 player, we never get any notification of these op weekends on the PS3itself, which is very, very annoying. I come here to see whether or not an op weekend is happening so I know when and what's needed. A pity there is nothing on the PS3 to tell us, cos if there was, I bet more would participate!!!

Agreed, played strictly Gold this weekend and I would say roughly 60-70% of players on were using Level 20 Characters...
