For the reluctant consumer: Leviathan DLC End Result

If you'd rather not watch it at the moment I'll tell you what happens.
After some exploration, Shepard meets the Leviathan. Leviathan reveals to Shepard that long before the Reapers were made, its race was the apex of life in the galaxy. Its race subjegated the lesser ones to suit their needs. Leviathan's race cared for the lesser species, but could not protect them from themselves. They eventually built machines that ended up destroying them, eliminating their usefulness to Leviathan's kind. To fix this, Leviathan's race created an intelligence to preserve life at any cost. This intelligence studied and learned about civilizations until it could form a solution. In that instance, it betrayed Leviathan's kind. They were harvested to create the first Reaper - Harbinger. Despite what has transpired, Leviathan still believes that [the Catalyst] is useful, as it still serves its purpose. However, not all of Leviathan's kind were harvested. Some were able to hide from the Reapers, seeking solace in the far reaches of the galaxy. Leviathan itself is only a descendant of those. In seclusion, the remnants of Leviathan's race used special artifacts to explore and observe the pending cycles.
Leviathan doesn't know anything about the Crucible. It refuses to help directly fight the Reapers, knowing that its kind will still survive through the cycles. Instead, it will use its artifacts to indoctrinate Reaper forces and turn them against eachother to cause chaos on the battlefield.
You get a whopping 400 EMS (and another 20 if the Doctor is still alive). I also believe you get one or two new weapons, some extra mods, a new ship decoration and a bonus power. Unfortunately, you won't see Leviathan in the final battle, there will just be a few extra lines of dialogue with the Catalyst.
Worth buying? Up to you to decide.

As for the revelation, i wasnt taken in by it. Seemed like a band-aid solution to address the lack of Harbinger and that starchild's infamous line: 'You wouldnt know them, and there is no time to explain'.

weird, the size of the dlc outweights the actual content, we have more SP dlc in this content again.

I was delusional. I thought that Bioware were great story-tellers. Turns out theyre great at making shooters.
At least the Dark Knight Rises did justice to a popular trilogy.

Sorry you feel that way (I sure don't), and genuinely sorry you live somewhere in which the CE was a whopping $110.

We also need to mark on our star charts the location of these dumbasses who subjegate the galaxy because they might want to try it again. But wait, those are on only EDI, and EDI got nuked. Dammit! Mac is railroading us toward synthesis isn't he?
Thanks for the info, Eagle.

You get 7mins (out of 3 hrs) of interaction with Levi and that's lackluster at best (a close up of his face has the ability to make a reaper fall into water) wtf. The convo with him is set in a blue blurry background (why not at least have flashback style images floating around them as they speak) and they recycle old character models. Then you get back on the Normandy.
The investigatory part almost piqued my interest. But even that was hackneyed and too straight forward(zomg find stuff in a room). And dr. G blowing himself up, ZOMG not surprised because you might as well have thrown Kai leng in there to muck things up as always.
Blessed is the internetz.

The Reapers aren't sapient . They are all under the Catalyst's control . They are only mistaken to be as such due to their stored organic reserves of previous races that were assimilated into Reaper capital ships .
They use to be sapient constructs - fully aware entities. Hell they even had a personality. Then ME3 came about and we got *_*
