 I saw an update, version 1.05. How old is this patch and where can I find details on it? I tried google but I'm not getting anything.

It's PS3 only, and is apparently just a fix for the Leviathan DLC trophies (or something along those lines).

It is not a "fix" it is simply to add trophies for Leviathan. On PS3 you can't add trophies through DLC you need to use a patch.
