A buff to especially single shot sniper rifles on Gold and Platinum.
The Falcon weight reduction allows it to be used more by classes that can get the most out of it and the Missile Launcher definitely needed some love (though I would prefer slightly lower base penalty than a buff to evolution 1)
The GPR could easily have been buffed a bit more, but it's a start.

Interesting with the rifles too, gonna go see how noticeable the change is
Gonna lvl up the soldier to try my missile spitting shoulder parrot again, maybe it will be as useful as it is cool. We'll see

Of course, if we're talking real life, you wouldn't be able to aim or wield a sniper rifle of that length without a bipod...Or run with it
Let's not pretend like video games are real life.

The hipfire penalty is in place of the fact that you can't aim well with a sniper without well...aiming.
But yeah, a point black shot, even shot from the hip...will deal massive damage.
Maybe instead of a damage penalty...mabye an accuracy penalty? Would actually make more sense personally...

I think they were already dropping with the 90% gate. The Saber, etc, might require bodyshot/headshot technique to compensate or it might make the Strength and Vulnerability evolution relevant to the stasis sniper. That can't be a bad thing.
Regardless, the kishok and graal have been the best choices for the Stasis snipers. But now the Widow might become a viable option.

on a side note: watch we get an abundance of posts/threads talking about the missle launcher is now 'viable'; followed quickly by how the destroyer is now 'overpowered'

Also, shieldgate is nice. I personally feel that snipers would be even more relevant with minor boss headshots (just a small bonus, but significant on snipers nonetheless) but it will be nice for the Javelin.

A developer was very active in one thread for a couple of days talking about boss critical hit locations. He acted very open to the idea. Mostly seemed to favor having a small bonus, but by having a critical hit/headshot location, that would mean that all of the HS bonus equipment/gear/evolutions would suddenly become a lot more valuable.
Hoping that we see that addressed in a patch, whenever the next one comes.
