I normally spec into missile launcher on my destroyer, with the refire shortening even further and the extra damage from the missiles that never hit I guess I can't complain. Not that I was complaining before hand.

Now all they need to improve is missile targetting....

Also GPR buff..... a step in the right direction....

Falcon's weight reduction is very tasty for casters, since the CC effects are extremely good for them already. I like the falcon a lot, and this is just it gravy.

Nice to see weaker stuff get buffs, as always. I like the destroyer a lot without the launcher, so I won't immediately respec and try for myself, but it is still good that it gets to be a (little?) more viable to spec into.

I'll give the GPR a go again, always fun to see if you can feel the effects of a buff. Seems very small, but who knows.

God, I hope the missile launcher is usefull now. I kinda liked it, but I'm not sure about how viable it is on gold. Hmmmm :/

I am excited to go sniping tonight. Maybe that Javelin V of mine will get the dust shook off of it. As it is, my Widow is oiled and ready.

I'm glad to see sniper rifles get a break with the shieldgate. I don't play Infiltrators at all really, but I could see where they got shortchanged with that. This does, however, mean the end of my Asari Adept packing a Paladin pistol for taking out Phantoms from Stasis. Having just tried it, It's unreliable at best now as the pistol damage bleeds through and breaks Stasis - at least without the Stasis Strength evolution, and I don't find it worth giving Duration up just for that.

Not that that's a terrible thing or that I'm complaining, as there are other ways of taking them out and that was just one of them. Now I'll be dealing with them purely with biotics (stasis-throw-warp-throw) or with a Scorpion and Stasis, depending on the situation.

For the people discussing boss "critical hit" areas, it's a good idea, because headshots are very much irrelevant in gold and platinum matches. In said matches enemies that are currently headshot capable are much less of a concern, but heavy units (the enemies that are the primary problems) don't, so 50% of the time, a headshot bonus is completely useless, which means that the gear and other equipment is dead weight. And headshots are what make the snipers effective, and that explains why shotguns dominate the anti-armour role.

Thumb up Bioware! Not that hard to do a balance change without nerfs isn't it?

I'm digging these changes, but can we please get a fix for Incinerate's Freeze Combo evolution?! Also does anyone know if the glitch regarding Biotic Charge and dying mid air still happens?

Can't be fixed without a full game patch, like the one that's in the works. We don't know when it's arriving, but it will supposedly fix that, the SMG bug (they say they found the problem for real this time) and several other well-known glitches, as well as others we may not yet know about.

Great balance changes guy/s. Glad to see you're taking you community feedback seriously. Hopefully the shield gate alterations will make the more hardcore sniper users happy.

I'm also glad you're taking a look at the under-used powers and weapons -- the missile launcher and GPR desperately needed a buff.

I was originally holding out for a patch, but these fantastic balance changes and getting a Valiant in my Commendation Pack... I'm in a good mood. Think I'll go pick up Leviathan.

Again, much appreciated Bioware. This is definitely a step in the right direction. Happy customer today.

I don't either. I believe we still need to buy packs and unlock the last medigel upgrade, just like what we had to do when we first started MP.

I don't see a medi-gel capacity increase in game or in manifest.

So has the shield gate change turned any previous garbage weapons into headshot monsters?

The "marshmallow tosser" has now been upgraded to a "spud gun"... Slightly more powerful and now with the ability to bruise! LOL

Now only left that useless non sense hipfire penalty for snipers.

Imagine, I shooting you with a Widow on close quarters on "real" world.
Widow is a canon. Will destroy any piece of you.
Hipfire penalty is completly nonsense.

Of course, if we're talking real life, you wouldn't be able to aim or wield a sniper rifle of that length without a bipod...Or run with it

Let's not pretend like video games are real life.

No, let's pretend for a minute.  The Barrett M82, 50 BMG sniper rifle is 57" long and weighs 30 pounds.  Do you honestly believe a young man, physically trained and at the prime of his life can't run while carrying a 30 pound rifle, or aim it without the help of a bipod?  Certainly not run and aim at the same time, or aim without a bipod over any great distance, but he'd have no problems running with it or hitting a a target within 100 meters offhand while standing still.  And most sniper rifles are smaller and weigh less than the Barrett.

You realize that 57" is just short of 5 feet, right?  Unless you are very tall, that thing will be scraping the ground when you hold it, making it pretty impossible to run.  Similarly, it is very difficult to hold something that long steadily.  Try it yourself- take a 5 foot long stick and try aiming it.  Then imagine if it weighed 20 pounds more, and try to track a moving target with it.  I'm sure you'd find it much more difficult then you think.

My knowledge of rifles is not great, and if you can tell me that you know this to be feasible, then I will believe you.  But I've never seen a rifle of that size shot without some sort of support.
