@Milan: That's not always the case. More than often it's evil that wriggles its way out of some or the other mess and continues on festering. Such a case would be the case of Michelle Martin, Dutroux' ex-wife, here in Belgium. She was able to leave prison way too early. She seems to have repented and feel guilty, but her close relatives have said nothing of it is true. Think of the parents of those raped and murdered children...They will never get their children's happiness back. They lost part of their life just because of two sick ****s who thought it to be fun to kidnap, lock away and abuse children. Yet she now moves to a cloister, where she has stashed all of her stuff 10 years in advance. It's downright horrible and detestable. Such people shouldn't be allowed to live anymore.
Just lost hope in Humanity.

I get what your saying Ivy, but killing them won't bring back the children's happiness either. And it doesn't make us any beter then them.

I don't support executing someone for hurting a dog but I've always found this defense to be weak.Milan92 wrote...

Say a man holds his daughter captive in a dungeon against her will for 20 or so years. How do you punish him? Surely not prison because that makes you "no better then him".

It's very important the authorities find those responsible. Cruelty to animals is indicative of psychopathy. If not stopped, the boys responsible (allegedly) will eventually move on to killing people, when they are older.

Didn't click on the link. I don't want to actually see how badly they treated that dog.
It's not surprising though; I lost any hope I had for humanity a long time ago.
