I get that every time I try to install the Leviathan DLC, It lets me pick a language, but stops right there, and doesn't even download a thing. Restarting Origin or Repairing my ME3 N7 install hasn't helped either.

I also get that error, but for me I choose the language and start the downloading. Then when it reaches 100%, the download restarts at "-1%" until I choose to abort the download. When I restart Origin and come back to the My Games page, the error message comes up.

Okay, I found some really odd solution somewhere, and since the DLC is now downloading for me, it seems to work:
1. Uninstall Origin
2. Disconnect computer from the Internet
3. Reinstall Origin from your ME3 installation disc, or any EA game slightly older than ME3. You'll want to install Origin v8, while the current version is actually v9!
4. Start up Origin
5. Reconnect to the internet
6. Log in to Origin, but no matter how innocent the popup looks asking you what language to install, CANCEL, DO NOT UPDATE OR INSTALL!
7. Navigate to the list of available DLC for ME3 and start downloading the Leviathan DLC.

So the trick overall is to download Leviathan using Origin v8 rather than Origin v9.

As for you, Venfort, did you also try repairing your ME3 installation yet? In your games library in Origin, right click on the ME3 logo and select Repair. If that doesn't help, you might have to try the Origin-rollback trick too.

Unfortunately, for me this didn't work. I did the whole thing but the error still keeps popping up.

I don't know, I guess it has something to do with the update the Origin forces me to do. It says I need to update Origin to version 8.5 and if I don't the Origin claims I have no internet connection (which I totally have cos I'm writing this). I updated, the Origin started and when I tried to download Leviathan + Firefight Pack, I found myself at the same point where I first started.

This is getting really annoying because I had no such problems with the other DLCs or the game itself and I don't remember myself updating the Origin, ever.

Looks like others have the same problem aswell:

I re-named my Mass Effect 3 folder and hell, THAT worked! This really gets the better of me, but it's definitely something at their end.

When
asked to update to 8.5 I didn't, and clicked "offline mode" instead.
Then I opened the Origin window (still version 8.0!) and logged in
manually (there's a gear icon in the top bar, one of its options is to
go online). This time, Origin didn't ask me to update. From there I went to step 7 and started downloading the DLC.

So it's something in the Origin Client, and it seems to be there from 8.5 onward.

I did try that, but it didn't work. Annoyingly I left my ME3 disc in the UK because I didn't think I would need it. I've been looking for places where I can download old versions of Origin but I can't seem to find it. Do you have any ideas where I can get it?

So I found some old builds of Origin (managed to get a hold of 8.1) but now the problem is that I can't seem to find how to download Leviathan or indeed any dlc from this old version. Please help?

I had this problem until today. I will post the solution I found for those who may have the same kind of configuration I have.

So I run on XP so no admin rights issues here. I run AVG and COMODO Firewall. And after weeks of browsing about this damn 131079:6 error and after trying several solutions including the file switch mentioned above, I have finally found some kind of answers.

In my case and probably others', the problem stem from interactions between Comodo Firewall and Origin. I know that a lot of suggestions propose to switch off both AV and firewalls and that for some like me, it didn't work. Nonetheless and oddly enough, for Comodo users, the workaround is slightly different.

You can let your AV and Comodo on. But you have to switch Defense+ on "Deactivated". Comod HAVE to be open, closing it won't solve the problem. Giving all the rights you want to Origin files won't solve the problem either. You simply have to DEACTIVATE Defense+  and, normally, any downloads and update should launch normally. Just after the download begins, you can switch it back to Learning mode or any mode you usually use.

Don't ask me why it works, it makes simply no sense given how Defense+ works but still this workaround allowed me to update any Origin Games whatever version of Orign client I used.

Hope it will help some people.

Good luck.

NB : I insist on the fact that Learning mode or closing Comodo or giving every rights to origin files won't solve anything. Or at least, it didn't work for me. Only Defense+ deactivation.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread - I just wanted to say "thank you" to Vit_Zayder - setting Defense+ mode to Disabled in Comodo Firewall solved the issue for me!

Huge, huge thanks too! I got this issue when trying to download 1.04, ended up having to switch back to 8.1 and entirely re-patch the game from scratch from there. Huge thanks for finding that Commodo was the source of the problem!
