I get the message when I go onto the Add On page and click on "Buy Now". I have enough points to buy the stupid thing, but I keep getting the "service temporarily unavailable" error. I then tried to download one of the free MP packs to see if that would download and still nothing. I've gotten this error since Leviathan's release.

I have pretty much the same problem for three days now this is really getting ridiculous

I can't seem to buy points from the Bioware website due to some error and it wont work on my origin browser either (temporarily unavailable). Also the origin website wont let me buy points via PayPal and i don't like putting my credit card details online (so i only have it on PayPal) Does anyone know what is causing this problem?

I had the same problem, here is what I did.
exit origin.
on the top left side menu on this page choose profile -> Add Bioware points.buy 800 points, then open origin and get the DLC. Origin will not ask you to purchase points.now DLC is downloading :)
Can't guarantee it'll work, for me it did.

Thank you! This worked a treat. :)

I already got the points....origin gives me the "service temporarily unavailable" and EA support now tells me...

"Due to a back log of contacts, the current estimated time for response is 1 – 2 weeks. I apologize for the lengthy response time, and we are working diligently to return to an acceptable level of response time. During this time, you may still update your case with additional information that might help us to resolve your issue without causing any additional delay."

i can haz game plix?

Had to try it a couple of times because for some reason I always got thrown back on the page listing my current game content. After a few tries it worked just fine. Thank you for the solution.

Similar problem here in Germany. Wanted to purchase 1200 points for leviathan via origin, payment via paypal - error, try again in a few minutes. tried 3 times. Now I checked my account and, although I never entered my paypal password, I have 3 transactions listed there. After a few hours (thank god) they were marked as "failed" and cancelled.

I contacted the customer service for help. They apologized and said I shoud try buying the BW points on store.origin.com. Now whats that: there you can only by 1600 or 800 points. AND you cant use paypal for that.
Im really getting angry now. Ive been away for 3 weeks now, looking forward to that DLC and now I cant get it.

If someone has any solution ideas, pls share it.

your solution did not work for me (tried 1200 BW points, does it need to be 800?)

I paid 100 bucks for a piece of crap called Mass Effect 3 that crashes everytime I play single and mp game sessions. I don't really suggest buying leviathan until they get all these bugs fixed, instead of releasing new DLCs and behaving like visually impaired or hearing impaired people and ignore our problems.

Well since I pretty much always get "service temporarily unavailable" when I click on shop for addons and in the few times I'm lucky enough to get past that I always get this lovely message when clicking on "buy"

No real idea why this is the case though I'm sure this it has something to do with Origin itselfsince my browser and steam are running without problems could also be connected to the multiplayer issues I guess

Thank you so much! Not only it worked, it also made me save 4.90 EUR since the Origin store just decided that 1600 points at 20$ equals 19.90 EUR. The same amount of Bioware points here are instead 15 EUR.

Now downloading without problems.

worked for me, thanks! EA needs to seriously work on Origin though. for some time now I've been experiencing ONLY problems with it. to think I once bashed Steam (which is far superior to this crap)...

I also have to issue and seing as i already got the 800 points I doubt buying more will resolve it

why don't the pirates have to deal with any of this bs?....oh wait they don't have to deal with origin which is still in beta btw or the associated crappy drm restrictions

EA ofc continues to ignore my case, or at least that's the way it seems

Can't buy Leviathan either. Got the points, can purchase literally everything but this. Since days. With Steam the issue would be resolved in a matter of hours with Origin it apparently is of no ones interest to even look into it.
