A couple of months ago, I heard that the take backers were planning to purchase an ad on a billboard telling EA/Bioware to change Mass Effect 3's ending.  Does anyone know if anything came of that?

We're saving money to preorder, I mean boycott the next Bioware game.

This should've happened. It also should've included burning cars. Y'know, for the dramatic effect.

This is why geeks are bad at protesting, we have such short attention spans. Show us something shiny and we will get distracted.

They were going to do that, but the ITers came by and just scrawled "Shepard is indoctrinated!!!" all over the billboard. Then some guy dressed up as Tali committed suicide next to it and they just made it an ad for Tim Horton's instead.

If only more people actually had the balls to not keep on buying EAware's products and actually REALLY make a stand against them that way... ~le sigh~

This. If more people started being customers instead of fans, we wouldn't keep getting substandard crap.

I admit i buy EA games on the fly because i feel like i am missing out. However i have made a huge step in progress and i will not pre-order Dead Space 3 unless it is pre-owned and under 10 euro.

My pre-orders this year are Far Cry 3, Assassins Creed 3, Borderlands 2 and Hitman Absolution. Not a EA game in sight. I think i have done well so far.

Agree.

Personally is rather easy to boicott EA at this point: there's not a single game that they're publishing that I'm interested in.

It was a small subgroup. I think they realised that most of the movement didn't support what they were doing an backed off. This was after the EC had been announced, but before release, so a lot of folks were stepping back to see if they would be happy.

I think they just dropped the idea.
