Is it good? How does it compare to Dragon Age? I don't remember hearing about it when it came out.

It's a decent RPG with a lot more focus on action with mouse click timings for combos with swords and such. It's not tactical like DA but it does give opportunities for hard choices which impact your game later down the road.

And here I thought you were talking about the TV series (not kidding, it exists and is quite good actually, despite it's non existent budget).

Early versions of the game were very buggy. Its dev team released a much improved new special edition a year later and made it available for free to their existing customers. Now it is a really nice game and I think you will enjoy it. Although you cannot customize the main character (because he is based on a book), you would probably like its content. Good story and created for adults.

I haven't played it yet, But I hear it's great and I plan to buy it soon.. I was told it was like ME,DA, and Oblivion all in one.

Overall good game, great story. I played it when it came out, so some of the bugs and load times turned me off from doing a second play through. The Enhanced Directors Cut Edition is 13.59 currently on Steam, which is a great deal.

better than dragon age but that is because i like a more serious game with more historical and diplomatic sense. If i had to give a analasis to the rpg's. Dragon age is like the harry potter , The witcher is like lord of the rings. but neither are as good as myth 2 soulblighter.

Dragon Age isnt really "Dark Fantasy".
If you are interested in real dark fantasy then buy "The Witcher".
You could say its like Mass Effect+DragonAge+Gothic.
Mass Effect: good Dialogs(with Voice!)
Dragon Age: Setting(elfs and Dwarfs etc.), but darker with dramatics; but also linear
Gothic: Playing one Character, thats defined from the beginning but can be customized somehow
and you use only that char for combat and all.
