You're not supposed to sympathize or agree with the Catalyst, and never were. You have the ability to do that, but you have the ability to not do it - what is the problem then? You prefer to believe that Bioware is trying to apologize and fail, instead of the much simpler interpretation that they don't.

IMO,

I don't know why I'm forced to discuss with Starbrat : at the second I know is responsible for countless genocides, I should have the option to simply leave the dialogs wheel...

And a better option, should have been to detonate myself the Citadel to erase him from the Galaxy...

IMO, btw...

JPR out!

Hey if people really didn't like the game they wouldn't still be here after all this time. People are just constantly whining because ME didn't live up to their own personal wish fulfillment. Thing is everyone is going yeah, right ME is crap but if one of their wishes where fulfilled the other would be whining at them. It's time to just drop our own pretentious expectations and just enjoy the game for what it IS instead of what we wish it is.If you think it just isn't worth the money simple .. don't buy it.

You sir, don't understand much what happens here no?

ME1 and ME2 means something to you, perhaps?

JPR out!

I understand why people are let down.  Unrealistic expectations do that.  I just don't understand why people who hate the game insist on talking about why they hate it ad nauseam rather than playing games or engaging in other constructive activities from which they actually derive pleasure.

Whinning and incessant ****ing won't get them anything.  I guess that is the source of their joy;  I.e, something to complain about.

While I agree that people's expectations were unrealistic, Bioware did a good job at reinforcing them, instead of taking their hopes down a little. With such PR it is no wonder some people expected five different games in one, unveiling differently based on previous choices... which would be awesome, but ridiculous from business point of view.

You are exactly right. If BioWare had said, "We are going to introduce a whole new character at the end of the trilogy who will offer Shepard three choices, none of which will allow you to see him survive," how many pre-orders would BioWare have received?

Yes. Business would be so much easier if you didn't have to be responsive to your customers.

It is really amusing. If Walters and Hudson want to continue to mess up the Mass Effect story, then let them. I'm never giving a penny to them and their EA overlords if Bioware got rid of EA, Hudson and Walters, they'd have my faith and support once again.

It must be pretty cool to spend so much of your time hating on something you're not forced to play.

You think this is bad, try going to U2's fan community, it's almost worse.

The marketing slogan for Mass Effect 3 was Take Earth Back. I would argue that players were never given the chance to do that. Instead, you get a forced bargain with the Star Brat. That isn't "taking" anything.

The pre-release ads were completely misleading.

I'm going to point this out again, because people are one again abusing the word:

The Leviathans not using their mind-control to stop their thralls from building synthetics is NOT a plot-hole. It means that their mind-control powers aren't as awesome as you apparently think they are. It's likely the same reason they don't try to think Reapers to death constantly, their power has a limit.

It's not bad writing that they didn't prevent the lesser races from building machines, it's a defined flaw of the characters.

If Star Brat were cast in a Bond film, would he be "Glowfeld"?

Ah yes another TAO thread, where she presents all of her Headcannon as fact and somehow expects us to argue with it.

I saw no head canon, just an opinion piece. Learn the difference.

If the levithans had the mental mind power to sudue all the species IN THE GALAXY o do their bidding to pay tribute, then why not force them to not build synthetics.

This becomes a plothole and therefore makes the plot/story even more retarded than it was before.

The community should be able to question things.

They should just do so without being callous or misleading on their opinions, which a lot of people fail at here.

It's not a plothole.  That they didn't subdue all the other species with their mental abilities, then it's evidence their powers are NOT absolute.  Your question is answered by your own question:

"Why didn't they use their mind powers to stop the lesser races from building machines?"

"Because they couldn't use their mind powers to stop them."

Because the lesser species are immune to mind control?

If the lesser species have so low IQ that they couldn't be mind control'd, then HOW did they construct synthetic beings able to destroy their creators?

It's still a PLOTHOLE!
