Is it in the binary folder, cause when I pressed on it, it wouldn't work, can't remember exactly, said something about an item not found, I thought the files needed where on the PC disc, but I guess I was mistaken, werid when I installed the game, it didn't even make a shortcut in the desktop. Uh I just did the default settings when I installed the game on my computer.

You do need the disk in the drive, since it's part of the copy protection, however if you register your game and download and install the digital copy, then a disk is no longer required.

You need the disc in the drive to launch the game. Once the title screen appears you can remove the disc. If, like me, you're playing on a laptop, it makes your computer run much cooler and quieter without the disc spinning away right under your palmrest.

Something a few people might not know is that if you install the awakening expansion pack, it won't run the original disk. You will be able to play the original game by inserting the expansion disk. If you put in the original origins disk, you will get the error message: disk not found. Please insert dragon age origins.
