Although counter arguments can consist of; power armor, Cybernetics, rebuilt body, future tech.

I think it's more about having aesthetics that fits the caracter. Superman's powers do not comes from his muscles, but he still is a big guy because it fits what he does.
That's why I think that Shepard should look less like an Asari dancer and more like Gina Carano. She is a badass (even with a Full Paragon walktrough she's still a very though woman), a war veteran and an excellent candidate of a military program that was designed to be really troubling for both the body and the mind.
Also, Mass Effect aesthetic may look strange sometimes (Asari being beautiful by default for example) but it is not a japanese anime where 15 year old girls can tear down walls with their cursed god-like power or whatever. I don't know why FemShep is that skinny.

As someone who has always used FemShep, I could overlook the body shape if they had bothered to give her a movement set of her own, rather than slapping the FemShep model on the male shep wire frame. Watching FemShep move like male shep bothered me in all three games.

Just give her bigger boobs. That always worked for characters in Soul Calibur.
It worked for EDI too.
And Tali. Tali got tougher after her boobs grew.

After my FemShep got up after a roll in the hay with Kaiden, naturally, she was just wearing her "small clothes." Needless to say, I was rather shocked that they made her so scrawny.
Could they not have used someone other than Kate Moss for the body model.
Someone like Gina Carano or Jamie Eason would have been awesome.
But the absolutely ideal body model for FemShep would have to have been...Jessica Biel. Even in roles that weren't dependent on physique, she was pretty well toned, which is how I picture a woman in Shepard's position.
Edited to Add: On second thought, Gina Carano might have been the ticket.

I also agree that the running animation looks super awkward, and I consider the "sexy dress" a slap in the face. NEVER using that one, that's for sure! I'd actually pay for a N7 hoodie (not buying the premium edition just for that alone though) or a female version of the leather jacket and jeans to use in-game, but I doubt that'll ever happen. (;_

In what universe is FemShep 140 lbs? Or Sheploo only 180 lbs? And in what universe can a 140 lb woman with noodle arms punch as hard as a buff 180 lb man?
A universe where the 140 lb woman recieved extensive genetic modifications that where required to become a marine. The universe where that same woman later had her bones reinforced to be as strong as steel and heal in a matter of days should one actually be struck with enoug force to break it. The universe where this same genetically enhanced woman with bone augmentation also recieved muscle augmentation that increased her strength even further beyond that of a normal human then the initial genetic modifications did. This is also the same universe where this same woman who recieved all the aforementioned treatments also had synthetic material grafted under her skin to make it more durable and resistant to damage.
Thats the universe where a 140 lb woman can do all those things, its the universe that the Mass Effect game takes place in.

That description may fit Mass Effect Universe's lore, but as I said, it is not aesthetically appropriate. It just doesn't fit Shepard character to have a top model's body. She is a though woman, she need to look like a though woman. If I have to cast an actress to play a veteran soldier with great physical ability, there's a reason I'll never cast Megan Fox. It will just look weird.

and if a man recieves the exact same modifications(which Sheploo has), she still would be physically weaker than him. nice try though.

The argument wasnt a comparison between femshep and maleshep, it was a question as to whether or not she could perform the feats she does in game and within the universe it is easily explained as I pointed out.
Other variables that are unknown and not spelled out to the player are how the procedures effect the person. We know they enhance well beyond the scope of a normal human, but not specifically how they effect them. If the increase in strength and durability was an exponential increase, then most certainly you would be correct that maleshep would recieve a significant increase over femshep, but if the increase was more static, then the larger the increase that was given to an individual, the more insignificant the original base strenth would become.
If I where to make an educated guess based on what information we do have in the game, it would be that the increase is very static, for the obvious reason that maleshep and femshep have no noticable difference in physical performance despite the difference is size. The increase is also extremely drastic compared to a normal human, no matter how much people on the forums want to deny it. Shep, male or female, can go toe to toe with Krogans and Turians for instance, both races noted for the physical superiority over humans and easily out muscle them.
So, right back at you, nice try.

I suggest to google on Kill Bill.
Its a movie made by Quentin Tarantino.
The Female starring in the movie is Uma Thurman.
well Uma does not have Bodybuilder arms.. well she doesnt even seems to be very well trained.
Yet .. In the movie she is like a female Bruce Lee!
To all off you that do think femshep is to tiny... WATCH KILL BILL starring a " Tiny" Femshep!
Ow and Kai Leng.
Please go watch Kill Bill ( movie 1 and 2)
and uhhh... looking for a femshep in a movie? lets take Uma!
ow and her training.....

This is also a movie in which a woman decapitates a man, resulting in the most ridiculous high-pressure blood fountain ever seen outside of a grindhouse movie.
I don't think Mr. Tarantino was going for accuracy.

Dunno, maybe I love femshep because she's so lithe. She's exactly what a soldier should be, fit. I guess her BMR is less than 5%, which is actually a bit dangerous...
But there's also the epicness of a petite woman who also isn't exactly a supermodel in the looker-department, pwning everybody and everything. The girl next door saves the galaxy. How epic can you get?
Agreed.

When your thigh is as thick as your upper torso those probably aren't sexy thighs...
Haha. Beg to differ on that.
Model Bria Myles.
If you guys are nit picking FemSheps body not because she is too thin but because she has thick thighs then I just don't know what to say on that.
No google her, that's real.
That really does look kind of weird.

I guess I didn't notice the rest of the time because I'm used to playing games where female characters look like supermodels but can somehow beat down muscular men in fights, even without being augmented like Shepard is in ME canon. Besides, in games and movies everyone is somewhat unrealistically good-looking, which isn't always a bad thing. It would have been cool if she'd had a more realistic physique, but I suspect that more people would have complained that she wasn't pretty enough.
