Avatar technically isnt anime but the creators admitted to it being influenced by anime.Also, its common to find the last airbender and korra on anime websites. that why so many people put two and two together

I agree. I don't really like Goku at all myself. I was always rooting for Vegeta when I first watched Dragonball Z. :P I really hoped Vegeta would kick Goku's ass sooner or later. And honestly, that seems to be the case for many main characters (not to the extreme like Goku though... most of the time) nowadays... always makes me prefer the side characters.

As for me, Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail.

Euhmmm Dragonball Z is not hard to understand. :huh: It's a rather straight-forward, simple and shallow series. Even my little 7 yeas old nephew understands it perfectly well.


Goku is just a shallow, boring and overrated character. Period.

I like Goku but damn it's true that his a shallow and over idealistic character. His best moment, however, was when he turned Super Saiyan 1 for the first time. That was the Goku I like.

I've seen the English dub first on TV when I was 12. I saw the entire Japanese version on the internet a few years later. I have all the Dragonball movies on DVD in their original Japanese language, I've read the entire Dragonball manga in both English and Dutch and recently I've watched Dragonball Kai, in Japanese of course.

I perfectly understand Goku, he's not that hard to understand. :? The fact that he's supposed to be a "lovable idiot" does not make him any less shallow, annoying or Mary-Sue-ish. I for one got sick and tired of the fact that it's ALWAYS Goku who destroys the villain and saves the world (Cell, being destroyed by Gohan, is the only exception).

It would have been nice if Vegeta, Piccolo or Krillin got the chance to kill a major villain for once. Especially Vegeta, my favorite Dragonball Z character who's always in the shadow of Goku, ALWAYS IN THE SHADOW OF GOKU! :pinched:

I liked his super saiyan 1 first time transformation in the manga and in Kai, but not in Dragonball Z. Seriously, in Dragonball Z that moment got dragged on for so long that it became completely obnoxious. I was like: "Oh come on, get this nonsense over with and start beating Freeza's ass already!" :pinched:

No really you still don't get it. Beating the bad guys has nothing to do with being a Mary Sue. Luffy would be a Mary Sue then right?

Also for someone who has seen all of the series, you should know Goku only ever killed Kid Boo, the Red Ribbon leaders, King Piccolo and his men. And you should know it's spelled Kuririn.-_-

You don't even understand all of that stuff with Vegeta is a joke.:lol:
