I want to be able to play from different perspectives. I don't want to be pigeonholed into one character like DA2 had us do. I like variety. There's a reason why I keep going back and playing DAO while I only finished DA2 twice.

...just don't make that race human. Force me to be a Dwarf, an Elf, a Kossith, force me to be a nug, just not a human. I'm a human every day and it's boring. I play games to spice it up. Being forced to play a human in a fantasy game is like being out on the street in the snow looking in to an awesome party that you don't get to attend.
Hate to break it to you but according to research...80% played humans in Origins.
They want the game to SELL. I know that sucks but thats the way it is.

I wonder how many people actively chose to be human, and how many simply went with the default option. I think that if DA3 is going to do telemetry like this, they should randomize the option that starts selected and the order they're listed in to get better data.

My warden was a human. And so was my hawke. I want to play as a female qunari
You'll get one as a companion but don't count on playing one.
If you don't want to play a human...go play Guild Wars 2. You have some pretty great non human races to choose from.

80-85% played human
The most popular Origins were Human Noble/ Human Mage then the elves, and then dwarves.
I played all the races....
I prefer the dwarf commoner to Adeucan and I like city elves better than the Dalish.
They simply are not going to waste resources on multiple races. It sucks but its the way it is.

Oh I'd definitely like to play as a nug. Just hopping around and squeeking all day
But I don't mind being a human but having different choices is nice too.

I don't think that's entirely true. If they had no intention of spending the resources to make multiple race options, they would just outright say it. "It's too much time/money/effort, not enough people use it, we're just not going to bother doing it. The end." (They've certainly been as blunt about other gaming features they have no intention to implement in the past.) But the devs are still leaving the possibility open. David Gaider himself has stated that the challenges of implementing races are considerable but not insurmountable, that they know many players want the option and that they will put in the necessary work if they feel the payoff will be ultimately worth it.
Granted, this in of itself is a loaded statement, but the point is race options haven't been written off just yet. In fact, the fact that the devs are still willing to give it thought despite the odds against it says good things in of itself.

Humans will always be an option, as many players can better relate to them, being mostly humans themselves. Personally, I'd rather play as a human, and I've never finished DAO with a non-human.

According to that same data, most people who played never even finished Osagar. I don't think they should rely on data like that with no context. They don't know WHY people are choosing human male noble or WHY they are quiting before getting to Lothering.

Elven Inquisitors don't make sense, when they getting hit by exalted Marches, Dwarfs - unlikely, they got 1 temple and that's it, and Qunari are heretics. MAYBE, i say MAYBE a halfbreed like half Human Elf / half qunari could happen, but its doubtful.

You're missing out on a lot of great moments/content then.
