Honestly games that go that well with randoms are few and far between. I said it was a great game but I suppose I probably could have just left it at gg.

my experience has been different, i've had more good than bad games with randoms....in the future, to avoid miscommunication, i suggest you do that

it's not true...all i play is games with randoms and i have had more good games then bad

also, using how people play to determine if the game was good/bad is something we will just have to agree to disagree on...i dont use that as a meausre cause people play the game how they want

I already said maybe, if I was camping with them the scoreboard, the objectives  the reviving. It would all be even, or at least I wouldn't be on 137k whiilst 2nd place is on 43k... We might all be around 60-70k because they are seeing all 30/40 enemies that spawn rather than 5/10/15 of them. I get twice the score because I do twice the killing.

Also I fear my point on objective capping wasn't clear enough (this isn't directed at you or anything but...) What I meant was that since I'm already out there and have shown I can deal with large enemy numbers then I am the ideal guy. I'm already there 3 feet away from the device and I have already proven I can handle four or five enemies at once so why should they leave their little nest if I can do it without them? Just a theory ofcourse. It just seems that stories coming from public games seem to differ between Team AreleX (a speedrun group) and the rest of BSN (as you've shown)

Yeah misscomunication is an issue, even right now. I have had a lot of good games with randoms but few that have gone this well with zero coordination. Anyway it isn't important.

just thought id share this.      the one friend i play with the most now, came after a random match we had together where the two of us readied up and started, i guess we just figured others would join at some point but anyway it went great not fast and not flawless but we just worked great together like we had planned everything( oh and neither of us used mics) well after the game i simply sent a message saying this "thanks for the game, was fun" and got a friend request back

people comprehending what they want is true...but the other poster's posts implied what i asked...just go look at that whole exchange talking about it...

There was no implication of speedrunning being the measure of a player's "skill", you interpreted it that way.

We weren't saying that if a player cannot speedrun it is impossible for that player to be skilled, we were saying that it is impossible for an utterly unskilled player to do a speedrun. It's not the same thing.

Not that it takes a whole lot to be "skilled" at this game to begin with...

no implication huh? so what does saying 'x amount of players can do this, x amount of players can do that, but only a few players can control spawns/come up with speedrun strats' imply?...you might not have done it specifically, but there was implication there...

anyway, it's all good....like i said in a couple posts before your response: i take back my post, it was just a misunderstanding

That's exactly what Ashen said. Most people can speedrun. However some people can't. However speedrunning is not a measuring stick of any sort. I brought up numbers because people often implicate the opposite thing, that speedrunning takes no skill and is doable by any average player. Tell an average to run a 13 minute speedrun without looking at vids with a group of friends and it won't happen.

That is all we are saying. We aren't putting ourselves on pedestals, hell Ashen doesn't even speedrun... we're just defending our playstyle because people seem to pass off rocketting spawns as a crutch move and spawn nuking and by extention speedrunning is an easy concept to grasp. The strategy employed by speedrunners on Glacier is more complex than most people think. I know I couldn't have pieced it together that's for sure... and I have a working knowledge of spawn patterns....

Your derriere, I'm quite sure, is not a reliable source for statistical information.

I think you did the right thing actually.
Might've been a bit childish but for some odd reason I kinda like the eye for an eye thing against trolls.
Makes em a tad more angry and shows em that eventually they'll run into something bigger than them.

I think that's fast becoming a statistical impossibility.

87% of all statistics are made up. It is hyperbole, a common persuasive device. I'm not exactly lying though a, I? How many U/U/G or U/U/P matches aren't Glacier or White with people hiding behind the counters or camping the room of shame?

in 1 sentence, yall say anybody can do it....in the next, yall say only a few can....make up yall minds lol....also, no one was attacking speed running, i just dont think it's a determining factor of whether or not people have skills...but it doesnt matter, i'm done with this topic...like i've been saying: it was a misunderstanding, i take back my post, it's all good

To clarify yes anyone can speedrun, all speedrunning is is running and gunning in a group, concentrating on spawns. However not everyone can speedrun EFFECTIVELY. Sure people can run down to the basement of Glacier and rocket that basement spawn, but it's already an initial split with enemies spawning on the balcony aswell. Following that they will likely spawn in the hallway. Again though they are only taking out half of the initial spawn of enemies because it was a split spawn and not a full. Not everyone can think up strategies to allow them to do what Bech, Gollum, Silentblade and Milk Ninja did. That's all I'm saying. Yes anyone can run into a spawn and bombard it. Yes anyone can do that. Anyone can play Mass Effect 3 however not everyone can complete it on Insanity...

From my PUGs experiance yesterday i'd say teh average player isn't capcble of being out in the open on gold let laong ebing able to speed run. Sure you wipe out spawns but average players can't kill quick enough or move good enough to stay alive in the open.
