I think it is probably the angriest I've been in multiplayer. I hope the guy disconnected bc if not he is the biggest douche in the universe.

Can you get an AFK disconnect when you're out of a wave?  Some people don't know about the AFK system, and could wander off or just put the controller down.  Seems like most of the times I've had to solo a wave, when I look around at the start of the next wave, at least one or two of the blue outlines are just standing there doing nothing for a little bit til the player comes back.

On topic, if the guy accepts the challenge, then cool.  Nothing wrong with it.

Though to be fair, it does seem that it ought to be a 2v2 match, a 1v1 or even a 2v1 (since the original scenario was him carrying 2 people).

You can even send the unsociable sap a pm stating why he was avoided and what part of the rep he was marked down on(skill don't show up, and that's the one that elitist wannabes are likely to rage over if informed of the fact). If a rage-filled response ensues, just inform the person in question that you don't want to be hassled and see no other option than to mute as well, maybe even report...

Sure, rep & stuff means nothing, but play your cards right and you can make the more æ**holey douches shiver with rage while still remaining the "class act".

An avoid and just moving on is usually the best move imo though.

Yeah, that's a real dick move. However, you're not going to prove anything to that dude if you and your friends make him finish at the bottom of a scoreboard. If you've ever worked in customer service over the phone, you'd know that people will say anything, ANYTHING as long as they don't have to look you in the eye. Chances are he'll just call you cheaters, or say that you all have no lives, or he'll laugh that he got under your skin so easily.

Who knows? Maybe he's on BSN and recognizes your buddies from any of the Platinum videos/screengrabs you've posted and now feels like a moron. My point is, you know you're good, you know your friends are good, and you also know that sometimes, people on the internet are dicks. It seems kind of lame to want to go out of your way to prove any of that right.

I'm not trying to prove anything xcept that everything is relative. He might call people noobs cause he is better then them, but maybe he is a noob to us. My thinking is the 1st response would be like i'm not a noob, i beat this all the time blah blah blah. If he is that much of an elite jerk, it'll get under his skin to get beta and called out for it.

If you and your friends have NEVER complained about other peoples play and NEVER considered someone was having a bad game then you may have a right to want to 'get even'. Thats is basically the whole point. he could have just said Thanks or not even replied. You give someone a compliment and they come back with you suck go back to bronze etc is just plain rude

and it's not 'rude' to blast people left right and centerr in pugs for being terrible or having to be carried?  As I said, if your friends are good players that a very benevolent, never complain about others play then they were slighted.  If not then this is simply the shoe being on the other foot and it's good that they got a taste of being talked down to.

none of teh regular people i play with have ever been outright rude to any random for any reason. we might joke about their bad play in the party since they have no mic and aren't in the party so they can't hear us, but we still won't kick them or message them they suck. no reason for that at all

That doesn't mean you're awesome ? Really ? Just look at your signature for christ's sake. Ok, we get it, you're good. But do you have to remind us every single time you post ?

No it means that pugs are generally campers. It's easy for a run and gunner to double or triple the score of second place pug, also because he's the one running and gunning you will often be the one near the objective and therefore be mainly responsible for that. You will end up carrying them no matter their skill level.

I was responding to other comments. And noticed how i asked for 2 more players? it doens't do me any good to ouutscore him anyway if he comes in 2nd. Sure i get outscored. I'm not some godly like player, i never claim to be, but in general yeah randoms don't outscore me. Once in the past month has a random outscored me. I sent him a message saying he did an awesome job. he sent one back saying thanks. The same could be said for alot of people here. most people on the forums are better then the average player. and what doe smy sig have to do with anything? I posted up funny games we did where we handicapped ourselfves. 2 of them were direct challenges all in good fun. The kroguard was requested by a memeber here asking how to play with him. I told him i'd solo a gold and make a video for him.

and the PC part, wasn't directly relevant to you, just stating that in general alot of the PC players have unwarranted anger toward console gamers.

no AFK when dead. when he said discconect he means lost internet or lost connection to the EA server

well 1st off you obviously didn't even read the original post at all since it wasn't me that was insulted. If it was i wouldn't care less. it was one of my firends and I got his back on this.

2ndly I don't get hurt feelings over someones comment on the internet. If you don't like my posts/threads then don't read or respond to them. there are hundreds of others you can respond to taht aren't mine

3rd of all My thread is far from Woe is Me. I was asking advice of fellow foriumites, most said teach him a lesson and several volunteered to help.

4th I am a very nice person. I don't talk down to anyone here, i give advice when i can i help out when i can, and anyone who has played with me or asked me for advice can vouch for that, but I don't want anyone to cause if you don't think so tahts fine by me. eveyrone is entitled to their own opinion. You can't please eveyrone in life. I've learned this a long time ago. If standing up for a friend makes me a bad person in your eyes I don't kow what to tell you.

Wouldn't outscoring him with a Female Quarian Engineer or another sub par class be better ? Outscoring someone with a Piranha GI is no big deal. That just means you were awake for most of the game ...
