 Hello!

We've just posted a new blog in which producer Billy Buskell talks about the creation and launch of our Mass Effect 3: Leviathan DLC.

Give it a read right here:

I might pick this up as it sounds interesting, but honestly I'm waiting for a DLC that gives a good ending option, even if its spread out over three different side stories, I'd buy them for that.

Fantastic absolutly enjoyed it. Loved the underwater exploration.  the only question i had was if you stood too long beside a oganic Sphere shouldnt Laviathan be able to affect you?

It was a fantastic dlc. The second best in the Mass Effect series. (my favorite was the Shadow Broker dlc so far :))

Leviathan was incredible. I just hope they go further with it, and not just leave it at that.

I really liked this DLC, is long (about2-3 hours), a fantastic story, new weapons, a lot of money, exp and galactic assets...I hope more DLC for the campaign in the future. It would be great if we have DLC about Elcor, Vorcha, Drell, because they are being attacked too.

Great DLC. I enjoyed the focus on story telling and exploration. Having squad mates that talked was icing on the cake. I really wanted ME3 to have quality DLC like ME2 did and this hasn't let me down. I hope we get more :)

Well considering the Origin store isn't working for me and has apparently been undergoing maintenance for over 24hours I don't know how good or bad the dlc is because I CAN"T BUY IT.

that was a terrible dlc.

leviathan tells us catalyst is created to preserve all life in galaxy
catalyst tells us it was created to establish a connection between organics and synthetics

do your writers even remember what they wrote 6 months ago?

meant to establish connection to preserve life, or preserve life by establishing connection, you can always find reasons for something beeing terrible if you look at things only in straight lines.

Thoroughly enjoyed the DLC :)

Not quite sure about it tying into the end, but the missions and background themselves were spot on.

This is a really great pack. The one thing I always love is a good story and mysteries are my favorite.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.  Or fire pulse
rifles, for that matter.  The catalyst explains that the purpose of the
harvest is to preserve organic life by collecting it and repurposing it
as a reaper.  I believe that the exact quote is that it is, "preserved
in Reaper form."  Pretty much exactly what is explicated in Leviathan.

Anyway,
I loved the DLC.  Not quite as stunning as Shadow Broker, but still
worth it.  I love any chance to have Shepard step away from the combat
and show that he can be a detective as well.  It makes being a Spectre
way cooler than just being a specialized grunt.  The unique underwater
elements were awesome too.  These DLC packs seem freshest when they step
away from the core combat mechanics from time to time and this one did
just enough to add some real flavor.

Looking forward to more DLC, and re-playing this one with different crewmates in the meantime!

Considering development was started right after ME3, I'm assuming it was delayed for a bit for the creation of the Extended Cut?

Edit: I should probably say that I mostly enjoyed the DLC, particularly the investigation bits and the detailed new environments.

Awsome DLC, right up there with Shadow Broker.  Please keep coming out with single player DLC.  Wishful thinking mayhaps, but I still would really love to see something that takes place AFTER the events of the game.

DLC much better value than from ashes (despite my love for Javik as a squadmate). Had more gameplay and weapon unlocks. Much easier to kill reapers now. No need for giant thresher maws, entire quarian fleets, or thantix missiles. Just bring your new crystal ball to the final battle.
Definately on a par wIth Shadow Broker. Hope next DLC is omega, I miss that giant hunk of rock.

Billy I have to be honest with you. It's the first time since mass effect 1 that I felt "in the game" again.

I really enjoyed the mine and citadel levels because it felt real. It felt like I was there , it felt like being in the game.

My god imagine if you had the time and funds to do it throughout the whole mass effect 3. This dlc shows just how much potential was wasted .

All in all very good dlc in terms of designing plot music and exploration. the downturn is the story side which is restricted due to the plot holes of the ending. I hope you guys really have a plan about the ending and that you won't deconstruct the whole technological lore and basic plot of the game just to polish mac's and casey's mistakes.

This was an absolutely top-notch DLC by my reckoning, the atmosphere was great and at one point downright creepy, which I loved. Keep it up team, whatever you lot did for Leviathan, you did it right.
