Leaving aside Leviathan's conclusion, I had a lot of fun with this DLC.
Very atmospheric, full of exploration, not too focused on a fight, more interactions, squaddies, Shep's dry humor. LotSB is still the best DLC out there but Levi definitely landed among better ones.

I loved the dlc, scenarios were great (despite the ladder bug and edi doing exercise on an invisible treadmill in the lab), investigating the hints you found along the way was interesting (but I hate that escort even in MP, hated it in SP as well), running with the bag through brutes was really great (it's one of my favo tasks in MP, sadly in there you can't run), oh and that head! Totally loved that head! And vorcha scientists too! (love vorchas.. would love a dlc about them)
The thing that annoyed me is that I though that it could have interfered further in the story. I ran the dlc before doing the quarian's arc, and during the quarian's arc you can talk to that destroyer, but then all the dialogs from Shepard is as if nothing ever happened in the dlc, like he never learned anything from Leviathan so I thought that was poor, and I think there will be even more moments like that until the end.. that's if it actually changes something in the catalyst dialog.. haven't reached there yet.
Overall I really enjoyed it and want more!

By the way, lots of people say that they want a dlc to change the ending, well, I'm fine with the ending even though I don't like it BUT as many people also said, if we could use the assets to actually fight the reapers instead of it just being numbers that decides on dialogs it would be great. I've been thinking of a dlc that complements the reject choice, now if you reject it the kid everything just goes hell and everybody loses to the reapers, despite your assets, but if a dlc comes that complements it, instead of instant lose, we would have the chance to go down there again and fight, and if we have enough assets we could actually win. We have lot's of people in multiplayer fighting hordes of reapers/cerberus/geth and whatever new enemy you would bring (I want new enemies too), if they would actually count for the story as it sugests it does, (it adds enourmous ammounts of assets when you got lots of promotes) it could actually mean that you can win by fighting, and not just by releasing a light cannon that feeds on your life energy. Well, that's my idea, not that it will actually mean something.

Have to say that I enjoyed the blog and the DLC. One of the best IMO. Excellent story throughout, and especially the ending.

The DLC is really awesome. I love the differences in gameplay that this DLC focused on, as the shooting mechanic wears thin as that is not why I enjoy ME so much.

I await more DLC for sure. I hope this puts you guys back in good/better graces with the fans that betrayed your series.

i watched it on youtube instead becouse mac and casey screwed the lore of the entire franshise the last ten or so minutes of the vannilla game.

and i dont like the emo selftormenting realistic tragic edgy think they turned ME3 into.
its not intelligent its not rewarding the jurney. its just frikkin punnishment, waist of time.
and bioware decided to stick with that screwed lore, tragically emo game

the catalyst and anything involving that is terrible aswell.
also the inpact on levithan's beeing able to mind controll any organics instantly
kinda really screw everything shepard acheived (oh wait, he dies) over.

Only hope for getting my money is a DLC that TOTALLY changes the ending into
and ending were I as a gamer is rewarded for playing the game by accually winning the game.
A real "win" ending.

OR a HUGE Omega DLC with Aria as perm squaddie, renegade Li
and Omega as a new hub. with huge NON-hearsay sidemissions
etc.

Edit: you might be to late to. becouse most fans jumped ship ages ago
and theres an abundance with bio-drones (read CoD gamers)  on the forum
that dont care about the lore and narrative established by Drew K from the start.
that will tell you the dlc is fine and the game is fine bla bla.

but listening to them wont get ya anything sold.

No, I won't be buying this DLC... the ME3 game was an emotional roller coaster of a ride that ended in such a fierty train wreck, failing on every conveivable level that I've no intention of ever going back and replaying the game ever again.

I did it for the EC, hoping against hope that it was a fix, but no, disappointment.

This isn't some petty gamer entitlement, but customer dissatisfaction, and as a customer, I have a right to be critical of a company that released a subpar product and then wants more money to expand on the subpar product.

If anything, I'm going to take my 10 dollars and use it to buy a better game on steam, or maybe a burger in town.

...So why are you here? Goodbye! ^_^

Bought Leviathan, loved it to pieces. It actually was good enough to make me forgive Bioware for some of the mistakes they've previously made- Not all of them, but a good chunk of them. This was worth the wait and the hype.

totally agree with you on this.
imo, i definitely enjoyed this DLC. i love the atmosphere of the asteroid, the dig site, and that creepy leviathan lair. oh, and doctor Bryson's lab too! it gave me hugh excitement and wonderment. all the investigation in dr Bryson's lab is freshy to my experience of ME. 'cause ME never has this, as i recall. hasn't it? not to mention the drone escort and carriage of the power charge that are implemented from Multiplayer to the single player game as well. and now after i finished appreciating this dlc, i have to mention the flaws too. firstly, the conversation of crew members between missions on board the normandy is not much. some even not realize the situation of Leviathan at all. Joker, for instance, when i interacted him
everytime he says "commander". that's it. ( i think that is because Seth Green is busy to do the vocals or whatever). and another thing is that the Leviathan should effect the ending of the game throughout 'cause Leviathan is the one who gave birth to the reapers and it promise to be in the fight. still, it's the same ending with that reaper kid given all the choices. all in all, this dlc is still awesome. though it's not going to effect anything for the ending but it's a great journey. still hope to play more DLCs in the near future. and by the way BIOWARE, thanks for caring about the fans and at least try to make up for what went wrong. i kinda felt that you guys are also love this game as much as we do. with that, let's make ME4 for our own sake. just saying. :)

While overall great DLC - not Shadowbroker-good, but probably on par with Overlord, I'd have loved to see more of the exploration - especially the underwater part - but I don't feel like these 8 € were a waste of money.

Next time, when you make something as beautiful as the underwater scene, feel free to charge me an extra 200 pt. and let me walk around down there for a bit. Let me explore that world, find the point where I drop down into the chasm on my own, let me fire the flares myself to reveal the ocean floor piece by piece on my own.

I agree with you 100%. Larger underwater mission would have been amazing. The scenery already was breathtakingly beautiful. I still don't approve the game ending but this DLC made the game a bit better. :)

I thought it was great loved the little things like the vorcha homeworlds and illium and the the new weapon mods. However because of how long was spent on a couple hours of dlc I have to wonder how much more we can expect.

Wouldnt mind more squad romances maybe some romance DLC. like ken and Donnelly side quest or re introduce cuddle (me2) on the citadel some how maybe as a date.

To go off topic a bit I'd like to say I was surprised iI liked the EC however I have to say that if in a dlc to come it some how makes it possible to save edi and maybe the geth etc maybe in a dlc that hints at how the crucible works to focus on reapers only when you choose destroy .

Because we paided our 60 odd bucks for access to these forums and to give BioWare our option?

It would be worth the wait and hype if it was worth playing through the game again as a whole. Until BioWare actually address the ending properly and stops pretentinding they can't I don't see a point in buying DLC for a story that has concluded... baddly. If on the other hand BioWare can 180 on the direction they've gone I may consider buying additional content.

Regardless I (and others) are going to stick around and keep needling them (and I guess you because it gets under your skin) for one simple reason. It can still be better.

Although I will say after YouTubing it that Billy did do an okay job of trying to back fill the crap strom that was the ME3 ending. If the ME3 ending wasn't so bad to begin with perhaps the Leviathan content would have come off as brilliant. Although maybe it'll take 13 years like it did with Start Wars midi-chlorians and the Darth Plagueis novel to actually fill some of the nasty plot holes and continuity gaps.

Sorry Billy, the ME3 ending is still going to negatively overshadow anything else BioWare produces for Mass Effect franchise.

In my personal opinion, the DLC was pretty good. It was enjoyable and gave a lot of insight and background. I personally did not experience the ladder bug(thankfully).

As for what i would really like to see is the Collectors, Krogan reapers, Batarian reapers, Volus reapers, Yagh reapers, Vorcha reapers, Elcor reapers, as enemies in multiplayer.

Yagh, Protheans, Elcor as playable new characters. Maybe throw in Eclipse and Blue Suns.

New Multiplayer maps... Tuchanka, Khar'shan, Alpha Prime

But hey like i said its just my opinion.

I think this is once again Bioware at it's best. Excellent pacing, good story, character interactions, but in addition to all that, awesome gameplay - much better level design that some of the original levels from ME3.

Well, I finished the DLC today, and I think that the Leviathan is the second best DLC in the Mass Effect trilogy (the LotSB is the best one in my opinion). It has an intriguing plot, enough exploration, and BioWare did a great job by including our squadmates into the story. (I liked their remarks and dialogues during missions and aboard the Normandy.)

My question is, where is this fitting in the current story? Or is this an "alternate reality"?
I've already done the ending, so I need some insight of this.

I'm very dissapointing because it was not a Rougue Reaper in storyline, I was really looking for that. Otherwise I enjoyed the content and I hope it was not all the story about the Leviathans (because it has plot holes).
Now Bioware we need the DLC about Aria and Omega right after.

Loved the DLC and looking forward to more. The pacing was just right, and the story added a reasonable amount of depth to the overall game. I was hoping the Leviathan would have played a bigger part in the war, but then again there were only 3 remaining (as far as I know anyway).

Also the level design was excellent, you really had to stay on your toes and keep moving. And the overall goal of revealing a little more about the history of the reapers was definitely accomplished. We learn who created them, and for what purpose, and what went wrong. Also the slight additions to the ending of the game were much appreciated, it was just necessary for the overall flow, and I'm glad Bioware didn't overlook that.

Hoping for more, and well done so far Bioware.

I really enjoyed this DLC (the story/dialogue, locations and the characters), especially the ending which (*potential spoiler*) was a wonderful hommage to The Abyss. Hope there is plenty more single-player DLC in the pipeline!

Totally!  er... why am I STILL throwing money at me screen.. wth BW??!!  ;D

GREAT job guys (and gals) ... sorry, here in the NorthWest in the US, everyone's a "guy".. like down south it's "ya'll"

Anywho.. Really well rounded game play, atmosphere, and combat. Totally see why it was well after the augmentation of the ending. The visuals in the water were awesome.  The sound was fantastic! (way to go Foley guys!!)  Looks like you guys watched "The Abyss" too much! :D

What a treat this story was! The surprise was the first HOLY ****!!!!!!! moment I've had since, oh.. the 6th Sense!  Well done!

One small thing that jumped out at me.  I play on PC (just for reference).  Ann's lips didn't move that much. Kinda like she was a ventriloqist and was talking with her teeth.

So many great moments in this DLC.  Great crew enteraction that was event specific both inbetween and post misson. Loved Vega... "Hey's Commander.. getta load of this thing..OW!":O  EDI was priceless then.  i didn't take Tali through this as I hadn't done the Quarian's yet. gotta do that next time. (note to self)
Also, Something that I noticed was the spot light going out. What a cool and little FX that was. Unexpected and brief. The foley didn't trail out, even like a real light bulb.  It was just ...cool!  and perfect!. *shrug* sorry.. I like little stuff like that.

I would love to see this create an alternate ending squence verses if you didn't get the DLC.  It would only mae sense that some dialogue would change.. maybe it has... hmmm...  I have to admit. I cheated.  Only played the DLC and not through to the end of the game...  Sooo.. maybe I'm jumping the gun.

Now, Mr. Buskell... About those moons around Farcrothu ... you know.. the ones that look like Reapers??!!:huh:B)  (or at least that's how I take it} :innocent:

Thanks Again folks for money well spent!  MOST enjoyable and added total replay value to the game ....dang it!  School is starting again too!

I really loved this DLC, but to be honest, the underwater part was really too short. It was so cool and new and i hoped to have maybe some fights or a little bit of exploration, but after a few minutes it was over... you should pick it up for another DLC if possible and try to enhance it a little bit, the idea with the mech was really good. and theres so much potential for creating a underwater lvl. I also loved the mysterious feeling overall and the harsh conditions at Despoina and Namakli. I also think that you should use some more unique enviroments like low gravity, blizzards, heavy rain and dust storms, they add a lot to the overall ambience and could be used to create nice gameplay mechanism (and maybe some new enemies for another DLCs beside cerberus, reaper or geth, some ancient alienrace that trys to kill you no matter what ;)
