Not in game right now so not sure, but try to hover your mouse over the right edge of the bar. The cursor should change to arrows showing you left/right direction. Click and move the cursor further to the right. Enjoy (i guess)! :)

Unlock it first, if it's locked. ;)

Have to say, that new bar-stretching feature is one of the best things I've seen in a game in a long time. Now I can really maximize the space on my display.

Yup I'm amazed it's not been done before it's really nice. Means I don't have to full my screen up just because I want one more spell slot.

I think you're talking about the Combat Tactics slots. You can find those in the Tactics menu.

I have maximised my actionbar to the right but still I do not have enough place for all my buttons. Could someone say if we are able to make another actionbar on the right/left side of the screen? If I remember WoW had such an interface...

If you have a good enough pc you can increase the resolution @ 1920x1080 and that will give you 40 slots which is more than enough for any character.

On Awakenings now. Is there still no other way to increase action bar slots? (I have the bar stretched across the screen, res maxed at 1600x900, laptop, yielding 33 slots) I need a second bar, period.

The rogue is fine, for now. I won't be able to play my mage much further on the second playthrough though, until I get some more slots, and I haven't even gathered all the allies yet with her on origins....

All of my characters have a good third of their abilities more or less neglected because there is nowhere near enough room on those action bars for level 30+ characters. :( I've got some stuff set up in their tactics, but a lot of it is too situational to use that way.

Any plans to give us a second bar in a patch? If not, pleasepleaseplease in the next expansion?

Well you can always pause and use the talent page to activate talents or cast spells - I only have a about 30 slots and can't go any higher on resolution on my current monitor so going into Awakening I'll be putting my most used spells on the action bar and activating any less used ones from the talent page. Will probably take most of the potions off the action bar too and use the inventory page to activate them instead.

I'd really love to see multiple bars like NWN2 offered sometime in the future.

This game needs the function of multi-hotbars implementing aka Neverwinter Nights/WoW etc. Bioware's oversight concerning this worries me.....

That  is a very cool design B) -- but mages need a lot of space, LOL On NWN2, I have used all four of the bars up with my mages before . I need one more and that will be enough for my needs.  The only problem I see with the bar-stretching feature is that favors higher end system (aka high res and wide screen monitors) not that big of a deal for most players who have that type of system anyways.  If the player does not have a higher end system, then (s)he is screwed... :(

You can select stuff straight from the talent menu as wanderon said, which is great for sustained buffs, or you can simply assign stuff with tactics menu.

For example, with a mage you might want to do something like Self > Any > Rock Armor

For a warrior you could do Enemy > Rank > Elite or higher > Precise Striking

Etc etc.

More slots would be nice but honestly if you set it up right they aren't necessary.

great game but this is a ridiculous annoyance; how hard would it be to add extra action bars?
