Reave: For sound and usefulness
Concussive Shot: It's fun to use and sounds cool.
Ballistic Blades: It is just cool.
What is your favourite power?

Tactical Cloak is my favorite. I love that there are multiple ways to spec it that give you such different playstyle options. Plus, I'm horrible at dodging and using soft cover, so I love having a power that compensates.
Reave is probably my 2nd favorite, especially if I'm playing with a good Kroguard.

Reave. I miss the noise it used to make.

I'd have to say I have the absolute most fun with Incinerate + Arc Grenades. I play the QME *a lot* specifically for this reason.Watching geth burst with the characteristic red/orange & blue .... there's nothing quite like it.
Though I do sometimes wish I had another equally entertaining tech combo.
Shadow strike would be cooler if it had an actual insta-kill animation.

I know what's going on here.
You're trying what we like so you can kill it! Well I'm onto you!

Concussive shot. No animation to wait through so you can empty a clip, fire one off and reload while the opposition takes the pain.

Easy - Throw with the extra damage evolution. It's like running around smacking people with a biotic baseball bat.

While I wish I had the power of the Fagnan, I humbly admit I do not.
I am simply getting a feel for the aesthetics from you, the fans. Hence my question regarding sounds, appearance, and overall presentation.
Now, if I had asked what is the most used power and why, I'd be concerned...maybe.
Cheers

I won't take that risk. I'm going to say concussion shot, because I like challenging myself.

If its aesthetics we are looking for, The Pin Ping Ping Ping of the cluster grenade is a sound I love FAR too much, along with the flinging foes everywhere....
It reminds me of playing the vanguard class in ME 2, with the Locust.
(Why you guys replaced its sound effect is beyond me. The mattocks sound effect change too, but at least it kept the ping sound.)

My two favorites are Shadow Strike, for the animation and sound fx of that sword strike, and the resulting bloody mess (with the occasional glitchy blood fountain, which I love oh so much), and Sabotage for the entertainment value of using a Cerberus on the engineer who deployed it.

I would like to see a power like singularity, but more powerful than a grenade with more force and damage but a huge cool down time. Like a large devastating biotic charged/timed/maybe detonated explosion.

With regard to "look and feel," I have to say lift grenades. I absolutely love them. I hate how grenades are limited, but these guys are worth it. Also, for what it's worth, one of my favorite power moments is from ME2: I had gotten an enemy in to cryo (with ammo, I think) and then hit him with throw. I forget exactly how the physics of the situation worked, but I remember that it was hilarious.

Ahhh Aesthetics....
A man after my own heart. (whoops.. G-d said that.. not me. That is I'm borrowing .. n/m)
Close up to biotic explosions has to be my fav. It's a great combo of sounds that rattles my skull! kinda like fireworks!
The visual on Adrenaline is really annoying. Very hard to ID enemies and makes me have to REALLY focus. ...maybe that's the point. Also, on the PC, I've had times where that visual vanishes after 4 or 5 repeated uses.
Dark fields are always cool to watch as someone runs by.
The warp field sound was really annoying until I figured out what it was.
Any kinda biotic slam, be it fist slam, whips, or Nova.. all pretty cool. The shaking is a bit much at times. If it were about 2/3 what it is to maybe 3/4 that would take the edge of it. (so remove 1/3 to 1/4 intensity) But that sometimes boils down to knowing who you are playing with and where you are. That part of team work needs refinement.... especially on PUGs.
The vaporwall in front of a person doing a biotic charge is a really cool touch. I'm not sure many notice it.

I have a hard time picking favorites, so here's a full list of the abilities that I do like and why (probably more useful anyways...):
- Warp - it's just a well-rounded ability. Damage buff, armor debuff, primer and detonator, ok damage with a DoT (helps with shield gate, but that's less of an issue now). All kinds of win. Now if only Geth, specifically Pyros, wouldn't dodge it so often.
- Throw - it's like a biotic bean bag pellet, except it can do good damage too. I love these kinds of abilities that hinder enemy movement.
- Cluster Grenade - although I haven't used this since beta (lol!), I love the concept of tossing a nucleus of hurt. Also, the "shrapnel" is a visible cluster (right?), so that makes it cooler because other grenades' shrapnel are just harder to see.
- Lash - interesting ability. It's just hindered by the time the player spends exposed to use it.
- Smash - I had great fun moonwalk Smash-kiting Banshees and raising other kinds of hell before the cooldown nerf.
- Adrenaline Rush - I like this ability's execution: the DoF effect is representative of an actual adrenaline rush without negatively impacting the player's vision (IMO), it delivers what it promises in name with big buffs, I like the idea of a soldier "juicing up" to temporary increase combat performance (a la stimpacks in Starcraft; read: immersion), and fully recharged shields? y/y? Good execution here.
- Concussive Shot - oh boy, I had some times with this and the Mattock. The combination of the two gave me a visceral feeling of control as I dismantled enemy groups, one bullet and power at a time. It's like Throw, but it's on classes that can actually take advantage of "animation-locked" enemies. Also, I like the thought of a projectile slug impossibly curving around obstacles to hit my target. The notion is silly, and I like that.
- Overload - quick, clean, efficient, and it stuns or staggers enemies. More please.
- Decoy - gives the player an unusual (and rare) form of control over the enemies, although I have mixed feelings about how that control impacts immersion. The AI shouldn't, IMO, have an all-or-nothing approach to the decoy when its description merely says "distracts." I'd rather see it grab more enemy attention, but eventually they "figure it out" and seek new targets.
- Geth Turret - just for the shield regen, a rare form of support in this game.
- Hunter Mode - the concept of actually encouraging the player to prey on enemies is cool.
- Tech Armor/Blade Armor - visual appeal. Armor "blades," that happen to look nice, hovering over the player's actual suit is more good immersion, and I believe it's lore consistent. Now, I want to see little absorption effects as bullets impact those blades. Maybe UE4 or PhysX?
- Tactical Scan - to illustrate to my teammates my awareness of the battlefield and willingness to help them, like spotting in BF3. I'll use this on every enemy stronger than a Pyro, even if I'm not the one shooting it, every match.
- Shadow Strike - is an explanation needed?
- Nova - punch ground, create shockwave, assert dominance, check.

Combat Drone, Tactical Cloak, Sabotage, Dominate, Decoy. I like any skill that redirects the enemies attention (except for the player turrets, theyre good, but i hate how they float: I prefer more solid looking turrets like the Cerberus Engineers).
