 Don't understand why so many haters. I didn't like Leliana when I played DAO first, thought she was kind of poor crazy girl, fanatic and visionary, with an horrible accent.

But then I had more playthroughts, I've seen her in the DA2's Cameo... appreciated her background story in the "Song" DLC, appreciated the "In Uthenera" Cutscene and Song... and kept listening to it for ages.

Now I am totally in love for her, she is an amazing character. Intelligent and so sweet... I never romanced her but I plan to do it in my next game...

And I hope she will be in DA3's Party as a Seeker... I tell you more, I'd like her to be in party and tell the story herself as Varric did in DA2, as she is a bard.

I love Leliana too, she is so awesome. I generally romanced her in DAO, and enjoyed all her appearances in DA2, including in the MotA DLC. I personally would prefer her to be more of a senior leadership type character in DA3, more of a quest-giver instead of a team-member, but then in DA4 (or even in DA3 for that matter, if there was room for it) to have her 'younger sister' as a teammate, someone who looks similar and uses the same voice. Ultimately, the more Leliana, the better .

I never really got over the accent, but aside from that once it occurred to me that she was never really honest with me I just couldn't bring myself to like the character. I don't hate her I'm just kind of indifferent.

Many haters because she's religious. Just the bsn, don't worry. I like Leliana too, like every companion in DAO anyway. x)

The death retcon, how her choices were handled after Origins, and David Gaider's response to the criticism has waned her popularity quite a bit. She's still a great character and LI so I wouldn't write her off just yet. We could get lucky and have her truly imported over from Origins. Not, "It happened anyway, **** your choices." *Trollface* That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if she became Anders 2.0.

People don't give Mr. Luke Kristjansson enough credit for Leliana's Song. That DLC was one of the most inspired and beautiful stories told by Bioware. I loved every single minute of it (even if Mr. Kristjansson jumps in now with some kind of bathroom humor at this point, for he is fond of writing beautifully and then posting the crassest things ever in these forums).

Overall, Leliana is the most deeply drawn character in the DA universe thus far... I am glad we will be seeing more of her.

I do hope we get more than cameos of her from now on (though if I had to pick, I would take Morrigan over her to have as a full companion again in DA3).

Oh another thing, please let's take a break from dwarves in DA3. All of them. Just skip the whole dwarf thing.

Leliana is...special.  She's lovely, but I especially admire her courage (particularly, as mentioned, given the events of Leliana's Song), skill and heart.  In her beliefs, whatever one may think of them, she talks the talk and walks the walk.  I like that she keeps secrets and has her own agenda and life.  
I know my Tabris Warden is all caramel pudding over his "Tinúviel"

I disliked her voice actor, and was never really taken by her. She bored me to tears, plus I don't like the religion thing.

Same here. I think you capture her character so beautifully, and I just pray to every god that ever was that Bioware does not screw her up in DA3. For if they make her into the next Anders, I will be very upset.

If BW makes her like Anders ill have a hard time killing her, but if she is like DAO then muhahahaha ill gut her and smile.
