Earth was lame mission but for sole reason:
I took down a reaper with a cane launcher. WTF? on touchanka and on rannoch same reaper exactly needed amazing amount of punishment to die and here with 1 nuke missile launcher he is dead.
The obvious choice and logic one would have been to nuke those squids not suicide run into them.
Dont forget that point before the beam where the reapers is shooting everywhere EXCEPT the "Thanix Missle" launchers.
Reapers are so dumb or the writers love contrived scenes.
It didn't shoot the missles because of the Reaper IFF silly-face:wizard:
Did you not know that?

i agree it was the worst level in the series . but that said it wasnt biowares fault as they had to change the ending from the planned ending about dark energy all because some Ahole leaked the ending close to the release date. then the Aholes at EA would not give them the time the needed to come up with and make a worthy ending.
Music CD's are leaked all the time, you dont see them recreating an entirely new Cd just because of that. So that is horse****, the whole "the ending is leaked they had no time to fix a new one" thing is crap.

Same here - the only mission I hated in ME2 was Horizon because it was such a pain in the arse to do on Insanity

I always enjoy getting the Revenant.. sure it's about as accurate as an Uzi being fired from the hip but I think its decent in burst fire... cant believe they changed the sound effect for it in ME3. The SE in ME2 was so fun.. If I ever use it in MP I think I'm gonna have to do some file swapping.

(I consider Priority Mission Earth to start from the landing of your shuttle, to the point where you beam up to the Citadel)
Why is Priority Mission Earth terrible? Let's think:
1. It doesn't feel like a Mass Effect mission. More of a Gears of War mission.
2. The final battle of the trilogy is reduced to fighting in a few blocks on the streets of London.
3. There's no final boss.
4. There's no coordinating attacks with your squadmates like in the SM.
5. We barely see our War Assets in action. Remember in the final battle at DA:O you can summon certain factions from the army you gathered to fight for you? Why couldn't they do something like that here?
6. It's short.
7. It's dull. Again just city streets.
8. The last bit of gameplay is nothing but a round of Horde mode.
9. It was obviously rushed. For example, notice how you don't hear the gunfire from the weapons during the cutscene before No Man's Land.
10. STEEEEEEEEVE dying or not is the only realy variable during the mission.
Its not short.
I got through it in under 45 mins. It should've been longer.
What was the longest mission in the game for you?
Garrus's recruitment was longer then that...

i think the worst mission is ME3's intro - stupid dialogue, vent kid, lore breaking and boring gameplay imo

It was supposed to be a sad final mission.
In this thread txgoldrush confuses the theme of the mission with the gameplay mechanics of the mission.
You can have a sad final mission that is still fun and exciting and different and epic to play through.
Priority: Earth was not, in my opinion.

I have not kepted up with all the ending mess but reading what you say there I have to believe it. I love bioware, really do not like EA in the least. I have been playing bioware games since Baldurs Gate and that last mission really did not feel like Bioware to me.

This is untrue. The leaked ending is the same we got in the final game. The dark energy plot was fully scrapped after ME2, after Drew Karpyshyn moved on to another project and Mac Walters took his place.Gilberts5150 wrote...

By the way, this dark energy crap was crap. What we got is sooo way better.

What also killed it was the 'Hoo-yah!' moment, that one moment of complete gob-smacking WTF-ery took me out of the game completely. Which is a damned shame because I liked the effort they put into making things feel desperate (the suicide radio transmission being a good example of that)

I'm stunned that anyone thought this would be an epic end to Mass Effect.
Worse mission in the series? Disagree.
Was it a crappy mission? ...umm, no.
Underwhelming? Yes.
One of the least favorite in ME3? Yes.
It had nice conversations, but it felt like any other mission, albeit without a real plot or subplot. Nothing but kill everything in sight. There was just nothing else too it compared to Tuchanka and Rannoch. Needs more cowbell.

Hammer
If there is a group of krogan receiving a peep talk from Urdnot Wrex I should see krogan allies on the battlefield at certain parts. If Geth dropships are part of Hammer they should drop out of the sky and assist from time to time while making our way through London. At no point were there any elcor stallions charging in formation, trampling brutes and breaking an enemy line with the words, "With uncontained bloodlust: Die, you ugly sons of ****es. Die." This could mean increasing the enemy numbers at these parts to compensate for having NPC assistance. It should never have just been Shepard’s 3-man squad taking on the reaper forces while other human forces tell us what’s happening to them elsewhere over a radio. Players need to see their alien allies. The final battles needed to show that all the species are in this together. It felt like the non-Alliance forces were just trivialized fodder that aren’t worth showing in space or on the ground.
Note: Jack was on the ground. Jacob too, I believe. And Samara. Oh, and Grunt and Wrex and everyone save Kasumi (who is with Hackett or on Crucible itself). They could have shown up at the last part while defending the Thanix missile launchers to make it a truly memorable last battle with everyone kicking ass as swarms and swarms of reaper forces pour in? They could then hold the line and guard Hammer's rear to explain why they aren't at the conduit run. This also allows an opportunity for an emotional final goodbye for ME2 romances. There is no way the Normandy ran around picking up your entire squad who were just there at the forward operating base. Did they all go AWOL after Shepard heads out? I'll get into this discrepancy later.
3. Conduit Run
Harbinger ignores the Normandy, misses Shepard, let’s Shepard live and then leaves. OK, first things first. Harbinger needs a distraction to explain why he lets Shepard share an emotional moment with his significant other and/or friends.
A. First suggestion is heavy bombardment from the fleet in orbit forcing Harbinger to return fire using his main gun. WE HAVE NEVER SEEN A REAPER USE THEIR MAIN GUN - EVER. The fleet is forced to break off as I imagine that main gun is no joke. When Harbinger fires that last beam (that only knocks Shepard out) the Normandy should fly in and hit it with a thanix cannon blast to the “eye” causing Harbinger’s aim to swerve off and just miss hitting Shepard. When Shepard comes to he sees Harbinger, whose “face” is or fire, lifting off to pursue the Normandy.
*snip*
When "Marauder Shields" shoots Shepard he should fall to his knees as he returns fire. As he struggles to stand Wrex/Kirrahe comes up from behind and helps him up and they dash toward the Conduit together. Frodo didn’t get the ring to Mount Doom by himself.
4. Citadel: Return
Note: When my squad was evacuated I expect to have to fight my way to the control console by myself as in the Arrival DLC. I found it odd that the London Conduit lead directly to the ward arm control console. Where were the processing facilities? A few dead bodies lying around in one corridor is not a processing facility. Anderson's claim to have followed you in, but somehow beat you into the Citadel made no sense. And they wonder why people seem to NEED to believe it was an indoctrination event.
Anyway, now we continue the fight within the Citadel.
Shepard and either Wrex or Kirrahe (now a temporary squadmate) enter the citadel together. From this point on I'm only going to use Wrex for this example. They arrive in a section of the organic processing facility. They kill the immediate threats and release a few captives who point them in the right direction. As they make their way through the facility they hear Bailey over the radio. They agree to work together. The militia will attack the reaper's forward position and Shepard will attack the from within (i.e. the rear) as the Conduit brought them into the heart of the facility. Aeythta and Aria are also chatting over the radio as you continue on.
Wrex does most of the fighting while Shepard provides cover support because he is still injured and has no shields. This would play out like the very first mission in Vancouver (i.e. you can't really die here unless you let yourself get killed or REALLY suck hard). Anderson comes over the radio as you get closer to the militia position claiming to have arrived in a completely different area of the facility after following Shepard and Wrex in.
Essentially you have Shepard and Bailey's forces hitting The Reapers on two fronts until they meet up, destroying the reaper forces in the facility in the process. Once Shepard meets up with the militia, Anderson, who has reached the control room, opens additional doors to allows the others to move ahead. He informs everyone that he will be opening the ward arms (which of course doesn't happen). We would have an “Aleena” reunion if Wrex is present. This gives an opportunity for Bailey to explain what has been happening. They got word that the Crucible and entire fleet had arrived and that people were coming in through the conduit and decided to send a group to divert the majority of the reapers from the processing plants. Maintaining control of the relay network isn't a high priority since a defeat here will ensure the Reapers win, if they control the relay network or not.
The rest of the reaper forces on the Citadel begin to arrive to take back the area and the Citadel militia along with Wrex, Aria, Aeythta and Bailey hold the line while Shepard goes ahead to meet up with Anderson who still hasn't opened the ward arms. As this reaper counteract starts up the thralls stop charging and the militia guns them down. The door Shepard enters in shuts behind him and the militia forces left wondering what's going on. In this case, TIM is preventing the reaper minions from attacking to foreshadow what is coming up. Shepard makes his way through some corridors and we end up in the current starting place for when you enter the Conduit.

I concur, it does feel like the last couple of hours of mass effect were written mostly buy completely different people. It feels very disjointed from the Cure the Genophage missions (Which were the best of the game IMHP) and solving the geth/quarian conflict

Was it the worst mission in the series? No, some side missions in ME1 were even worse and laughably recycled. Even some ME2 main mission are arguably just as bad. But priority: Earth fails as both the final mission in a game and as a final mission in an otherwise great trilogy.
But I do enjoy the Bioware white knights defending every facet of the game against every expectation. "You don't get it!" Defending even a horrid, obviously rushed mission.
